Okay thanks. It would more than likely be the best male and then any and all hens I had at first just to bolster numbers but wanted to check first

At what total number do you start getting picky?

Depends how many I have and how much I want more. Lol
I'd love to have about 10 hens of each variety. So if I hatched and raised 50 pullets I'd only use 10 the next year.
Ok who am I kidding. I'd keep probably 30 and use the other 20 for other projects such as white tailed and black tailed buffs.

I'm gonna set a few on the 13th for the Easter hatch a long. For real hatching I'll start setting about the end of this month.
