Maybe? Shows don't feel very competitive for me.
I'm sure for some people it is, I mean, I was extremely competitive at the county fair or the state fair where MONEY and CLOUT are on the line.
But at APA shows I just like discussing my and others birds with folks and taking in all the beauty.

Most of the people we tried to talk to didn’t act like they wanted to give you the time of day. There were a few people there that were friendly, for sure but I just didn’t enjoy it like I thought I would. But again, it may have been a one-off experience. So far, all of the Leghorn breeders I have spoken to have been really nice.

Me too. I am a nurturer when sometimes I would rather be a slapper.

I am probably several years out from having anything close to show worthy. We’ll see how it goes when the time comes. I still have to find my SOP book. I have looked everywhere. I did find my old year book. I would hate to buy another SOP but I may have to.

I reached out to the breeder I got the Brown Leghorn eggs from, and he is graciously going to send me more eggs. I am so happy!
