The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I think the single combed ones are prettier, honestly
Especially because people who raise the rose combs get lazy and don't select for a good comb and unlike the smooth d'Anvers comb, that type of rose comb looks kind of awful without diligent selection (part of the problem is the single comb gene is in a lot of those lines and you can telll)
But also I seriously love the regal/flopsy look of the single comb.
However, a d'Anver isn't supposed to look like a flopsy or regal chicken, it's supposed to look like a cute little bird you found in your garden that doesn't quite look like a chicken.
I like big single combs too, but I don't have any rose-combed breeds so I figured having some RC Leghorns would be neat. I had better focus on what I have for now though, or I will get out of hand. lol

Rose combs are pretty.
They are! But true to my procrastinating nature, the more I have to do, the more projects I try to dig up so I must try to contain myself. At least until after graduation.

As of now, my Leghorn varieties/projects already include:

1. Silver Ginger
2. Silver Duckwing
3. Red
4. Crele
5. Buff
6. Brown
7. Black-Tailed Red

🤗

That's a nice verity!

The more red black tailed red chick actually is a blue tailed red as it turns out
These are the EE Buckeye crosses. I sold one of the blackish ones yesterday
In the first pic, its tail is clearly blue but so much of its pattern was black to begin with that I thought it was black

If you recall the mom was solid blue laced but apparently carries duckwing.
