Mine are chickens and pets. But I'm not all about the cuddles and pampering. I have a few OEGB and Dutch that like to be picked up but that's as far as that goes.

You know…sometimes I have to lurk on this thread just to clear the house chicken threads out of my brain…and the threads about “my darling little fluff ball Floofy is just not herself today and I am hysterical as a result” type stuff. Thank you to everyone on this thread for just talking about chickens like they’re chickens. That is all.

I was almost hysterical over a chicken today.
Filling chick feeders and a little pullet bolted and fly out the door. By the time I got the door shut I was just in time to see her run out the chick house door.
When I got to the door she was popping through the chain link and off into the weeds. I just about got hysterical but then decided screw you chicken I'm not chasing you through the weeds and getting burs and ticks all over me.
I was like you're on your own now I'll just make another one just like you or wait for you to be reincarnated and return or both.
Hour later she was back in the chick house screaming for someone to let her back in the brooder.

maybe I should put a screen door on my chick house.
