The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Penned up a couple BC1 Crele project pullets split for crests in with the non-crested ones as backup birds. They are all carefully documented and it is obvious which is which. I don’t want to lose them in case the unthinkable happens and I lose the non-crested ones. I won’t use the ones with crests unless I absolutely have to. These are the best pics I could get of them. They are spastic.

I’m wanting to add in some leg bars and EEs to the games and leghorns for the blue egg gene.

The blue egg gene in my Crele project came from Legbar influence. I used a Legbar cockbird in the F1 outcross to bring in the barring gene to work on a Crele Leghorn project line. I am 2 generations in so far.

I think so! I love their little owl faces.

Lol, I never thought of them as looking like owls! Is it bc of their little floofy faces? I'll have to look at them with that in mind. I just think they are unique and adorable. Anybody that doesn't like/ want theirs can send them to me, I will build a new coop or convert our shop or something, lol! I am frankly besotted with the beasts.

That and mine have really dark eyes like an owl.
