The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Annie was seriously impressed by Ellies determination to climb that high up the vines Cam had grown, and thought she was crazy brave for charging up right behind the giant ants with no where to go if they had turned around on her.

"Go back!" Annie yelled to her waving her arms. She didn't want to see her friend get grabbed by one of those huge spiders. Annie flew closer, hovering just out of reach.

"I'll come down too, are you ok to climb back down? I can't carry you." Annie was worried, they were really high up.
“I will Be Fine. I will meet you down there” Ellie shouted over the clicking of pincers

Annie shook her head no, there was no way she was going to leave Ellie there alone. "I'll stay with you." Annie looked around for something she could use as a weapon. There wasn't much. and now that she had gotten closer to Ellie the few surviving ants that had been after her had turned around and were headed back toward them.

“I found some stairs!” Kyle announced. Vacant sconces lined a short, twisting staircase.
Rylie climbed them two at a time, scrambling to get space between him and their buggy pursuers.
Cam crept upward, keeping her hand on the wall. “It’s dark in here,” she observed.

Once they rejoined the group, Take crossed his arms, “So whats the plan from here Kyle?” his voice loud and harsh.
Blair winced, glancing at him. "Not so loud, please." She hissed.
“We have to go to the top of the highest tower,” Kyle said. “If we activate the thingy up there, the bugs will go away. So we’ll just have to hurry.”
Except that it’s in about the clouds. And possibly full of traps.

"So all we have to do is activate some weird thing and we're done?" Blair questioned as she climbed the stairs. "Great. Let's just hope it's actually as easy as you make it sound."

“Sorry” Take whispered to her as he looked over the heads of those in front of them.

Cam looked behind her. The roaches were following them. The tap of her feet on the damp, mildewy steps grew irregular.
Creak.
“Kyle?” she asked. “Is there any chance this could be a booby trap?”
“Absolutely.”

Take frowned at the mention of a booby trap. He’d rather deal with the cockroaches that were following them from far behind. His ears picking up on the sounds of their scattering legs.

Blair fell into line at the very end, glancing warily behind her at the sound of the roaches. The stairs creaked underneath her, squeaking in protest as she put weight on the olden stairs. "So not only do I have to worry about cockroaches, but I have to worry about booby traps as well?"

Kipp dropped the piece of wrapper and stood, deciding to take the first set of stairs to the left of the hallway he'd come from. He took a breath sighing before heading up. He had to stay focused, this place was old, and what ever that thing was either was making holes, or traveling through the holes time had made.

"This place had better not fall apart." He muttered. "FRED? ARE YOU AROUND HERE? CAN YOU HEAR ME?" He yelled his voice echoing.

At the top of the stairs he found a second large octagonal room identical to the last. Kipps mouth dropped open. This place must be huge. He walked to the center of the room and broke another piece of the wrapper off, dropping it in the center, and again took the left most staircase.

At the top of the second staircase he stopped anxiously looking around. How was it possible? The stairs from below would have to intersect this room, or even the high ceilings below would have made this room impossible. A third identical room stood before him. 5 sets of stairs on the far points of the wall from where he was, with a high domed ceiling. Somethings not right. I have to go back.

"FRED!?" He yelled again, not able to keep the fear from entering his voice. He stepped down, backing away, barely able to take his eyes off of the room that shouldn't exist. I have to get out of here!

He bolted down the stairs, and then the second set, and stumbled out into what should have been the bottom room with the hallway leading off of it. But there wasn't one. This room had only the stairs behind him leading down, and 5 staircases leading up. How could I have messed that up? I took the same stairs down! This is where I came from!

Annie didn't know what to do to help, but she had to do something, even if these ants were almost the same size as her, she had to do something. "Climb down!" She ordered Ellie, "I'll keep them busy." With that she flew directly at the ants, and used her wings to dodge around them. Drawing their attention to her instead of Ellie. "GO!"
