The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Kipp went back up the staircase he had just come down, maybe he'd messed up somehow. No matter which way he'd gone the room at the top should have the wrapper marker he'd placed there was no way it couldn't. He frowned biting his lip, on his way up the stairs. There should have been no way to mess up. There was only one set of stairs down. Teleporting rocks, Druids, sentient trees, an enchanted castle shouldn't surprise me. Kipp hit the wall with a side on punch. How could I have been so stupid! I shouldn't have gone off on my own!
He walked out to the center of the room, but there was no wrapper. What should I do then? Keep going or stay put? If you're lost and it's safe where you are, you're supposed to stay put so you can be found. But does that count with enchanted staircases?

"Fred are you around here?" He called again, though he didn't expect an answer.

(Should Kyle find him? I imagine both staircases go to the same place)

“Kipp?” Kyle asked. “How did you get here?”

“Kipp?” Kyle asked. “How did you get here?”
"Kyle?" Kipp smiled relieved to see a familiar face. "I was looking for Fred, and then there was this, thing." He though for a moment, "Probably a centipede. And uhh, well..." He rubbed his hand over the back of his neck embarrassed that he'd run away. "I ended up here. I think we're stuck here though. These stairs don't make any sense. They don't go where they should."

“I don’t know!” Ellie and Annie miraculously appeared. “Where have you been?” He asked, but they couldn’t hear him. He felt the need to whisper in the darkness, and the spiraling stair case sucked away the sound.
Rylie was panting as he stepped to the top of the stairs, into a room in which many stair cases went up. “Which way do we go now?”
Blair stepped into the room at the top of the stairs, eyes glowering as she glanced around the dark room. Her footsteps were careful and cautious, and wouldn't have been heard if it hadn't been for the creaking floors.
Many staircases led up into the room, each staircase looking nearly identical. Eyes narrowed, she approached one staircase, peering down it. She went down one step, and it screeched underneath her, and sharp click made her look over.
She ducked just in time with a sharp yelp as three flamming arrows slammed into the wall beside her, and would have hit her if she had been still standing right up.
Panting from fright, she backed away to rejoin the group. "This place really is booby trapped." Her voice was a harsh whisper, and she let out a sharp gasp as something brushed her leg. Looking down, she realized it was just Kit. "Go to Take for now, Kit," she murmured, and the dog trotted away, weaving through the group in search of him. She looked down at Kyle. "Which way are we supposed to go?"

Cam whistled. “Flaming arrows?” She was both impressed and disbelieving.
“I think we should go back the way we came,” Kyle said. “At least that staircase isn’t trapped. We don’t know about the other ones. And they couldn’t lead us anywhere safe.
“Rylie, go back,” Rylie sniffed his way back to the stairs that they had come from.
But Cam had been looking somewhere else.
Some windows glowed on the eastern side of the room, illuminating a small part of the room. But on the gloomy west side was an open door. When Cam squinted, you could see the stairs going up rather than down. “What about the stairs going up?”

“Rylie, go back,” Rylie sniffed his way back to the stairs that they had come from.
But Cam had been looking somewhere else.

"Up?" Blair murmured, turning to see what Cam was looking at. She warily came forward, opening the door all the way. In the uneasy silence, the creak it made was like a scream in Blair's ears.
Wincing, she glanced back at Cam. "Worth a shot..." She muttered, carefully placing a foot on the first stair. Ducking, she waited and waited until nothing happened, and then she placed both feet on the first step, keeping low. But nothing happened. She couldn't hear any clicks were a trap may come from, or any unusual creaking. She looked back at Cam. "I think it's safe."

“You think it is? Maybe I should go first. So if I die at least the rest of you will be ok. That’s the important thing,” Kyle said. Rylie began to climb the steps without fear.

"Kyle," Blair bent down, blocking Rylie with her hand. "If something happens to you, then we'll never finish this and we won't know what to do." She shook her head, straightening up. "We need you. Let me go first," it wasn't a question, it was a demand. She glanced back at the group, making sure that Kit had stayed with them and not wandered off, before continuing up the steps slowly, keeping alert for any odd noises.
