The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Kipp led him up the first set of stairs, and glanced at the center of the floor for any of the pieces of wrapper he'd left before, but there was nothing. "Did Kyle happen to say where we were supposed to be going? I wasn't really listening when we first got here."
“Yes. He said we were trying to get upstairs to get a certain contraption which will make the bugs go away” Fred stated. “He also said it would be filled with booby traps. Kipp. I’m scared”

“But there’s no way through the door,” Kyle pointed out, twisting Rylie’s fur between his fingers.
"We don't know that for sure." Blair retorted, looking down at him. "We haven't tried it. Don't jump to conclusions." She turned to the stairs, staring down them for a moment. "I'll be back, just..." She glanced over her shoulder. "Be careful. Who knows what could be up here." And after that, she quickly vanished down the stairs, swallowed by darkness.

"Yeah, me too." He sighed, "But we'll be fine. We just have to keep going."

Annie stood at the bottom of the stairs unable to move forward, once the light had been closed off. Booby traps in the pitch black? There's no way she was going to make it up the stairs without dying.

Blair made her way down the stairs cautiously, eyes glowering. Once she reached the bottom, and took a step back. Someone was standing there. "Annie?" She questioned. "Annie, is that you?"

“You be careful!” Kyle retorted, staring at the stairwell before letting her eyes wander around the room, the flickering sconces and a couple of dark corridors with stonework braided around the top.

“Does anyone else think it’s weird that those are just burning by themselves?” Cam asked, suspiciously inspecting a intricately made sconce. Its dusty, braided pattern matched the doors.

“You could’ve brought a torch with you!” Cam called down helpfully.

"Y-yeah? Who's there?"
“You could’ve brought a torch with you!” Cam called down helpfully.
"I can see, Cam!" Blair called back up, rolling her eyes. "It's just me, it's Blair. It's alright." She assured Annie softly, moving past her carefully. She reached out, turning the doorknob with no avail. Okay, then...that doesn't help. I can't just...knock down the door like I did in the tunnels, something could happen...
"Is anybody out there?" She called, pleading there would be an answer.
