The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Blair gave a little hum, as if deep in thought. His words caused questions to swim through her head, but she stayed silent, not wanting to pry.
As they continued, her neck soon became sore from holding her head up and craning it oddly to see where Kit was going. She carefully and gently, her heart racing again, resting her head on top of the shoulder she knew was not injured.
Her hands were twitching nervously where they where clasped over his shoulders, and she kept her gaze trained on Kit.
Kit raced back to Take, happy to see he was still following, and turned, trotting ahead of them. She let out a happy yip as she recognized the staircase leading to the room with many staircases. She paused by the stairs, waiting for Blair and Take. C'mon guys!
Take’s mind wandered off a bit as he thought about the group.
I wonder how long everyone’s been waiting.. I really hope no one else went missing, so we can get this quest stuff over with. But what happens after? We’re all never going go see each other again right? Well, I still have to keep my promise to Blair about finding that one dude...
He was taken out of his thoughts when Kit let out a loud yip, his eyes widened, “We’re getting close?” he asked Kit, as if she could speak their dialect. He held his hands tighter, they had loosened a bit while he was thinking and sped up the pace, ascending the stairs.

Blair let out a sharp, uncharacteristic squeak as he ascended the stairs, burying her face in his shoulder. She knew he wouldn't drop her, but she still hated the feeling of nothing beneath her feet.
Kit raced up the stairs, barking loudly to get everyone's attention. She seemed almost proud of herself, prancing around the room with many staircases, peering up the one that led up to where the others were for a moment.
When they reached the top of the stairs, Blair opened her eyes, her face flushing at she realized that she had buried her face against him in her anxious state. "Put me down," she hadn't meant for it to sound so harsh, but it came out that way anyway. "I can walk, I'll be fine. Just please put me down."

Take gazed around the room with various staircases once they reached the floor, he had a feeling the group was up one of these stairs, “Good job Kit!” he praised the prancing border collie.
He gave a sudden side glance back at Blair when she requested to be put down.
“Alright” he concurred softly, getting to his knees gently and loosening his hands so she could dismount.

“Soz i don’t know” ‘Ellie’ said.
“Soz I don’t know? What the heck does that mean?” Kyle scratched his head, turning it back into a rat’s nest.

As Kyle discovered the pair limping up the stairs, his eyes widened with alarm. “What happened to you?” he asked. Take seemed in decent condition considering he had been abducted or trapped in some way, but his rescuer had a wild look in her eyes and tourniquets on her arm and leg. “How bad is the bleeding?”
Rylie simply growled at the bouncing dog as though she was responsible for Take’s delay, lashing his tail. And it wasn’t just her. The wolfy girl didn’t just smell wolfy. She smelled foul.

Blair half hopped, half staggered off him, favoring her leg. "Thank you," she murmured. She instantly missed the feeling of his warmth, though, as she curled her arms across her chest gently, gazing at him for a long moment. She smiled at him, nearly grinning despite her pain, for no reason at all. But it vanished quickly as she seemed to almost shake herself, carefully limping towards the stairs. She grit her teeth, but kept her head held up. She wasn't going to let an injury stop her from doing what she needed to. She glanced back at Take, watching at Kit trotted around him, quite proud of herself it seemed. "Be careful going up these stairs. They're old, and some of them might have multiple traps in them, I'm not sure."

Take nodded, returning her warm smile, “Yeah.” He stood back up, walking up to the staircase that they had to climb. He observed the steps for any suspicious clues, but they looked like ordinary stairs, which didn’t help. His hand fell upon Kits head, giving her a pet.
I wish I had dog treats for her or something..
He heard a small squeaking voice from the top of the stairs, his head lifted, seeing Kyle.
“Hey Kyle” he beamed, giving him a wave.

Kit looked at Take, headbutting his leg roughly in a playful manner, before bolting up the stairs. She trotted up to Rylie when she saw him, sniffing him. She almost seemed to have a grin on her muzzle. She didn't mind cats, as long as they didn't try to injure her, which they often did. That or they ran.

"I'm fine, Kyle." Blair snarled, panting as she pulled herself up the stairs, glancing around the group. "It's just a bite, that's all. There was a weird creature that chased us, and it managed to get in a bite or two in the process." She didn't go into detail about what kind of creature had chased them. She didn't even know what it looked like, only that it had a dog-like stature from what she had seen after she had recovered.

Kyle crossed his arms and gave them the concerned look that moms all over the world have mastered. “Oh yeah? You’re ‘fine’.” He chewed his lip and made air quotes that were the actual size of quotation marks. “You can’t even tell me what this bug was? Did it have rabies? If it had rabies, we need to get you to the hospital.”

Cam cupped her voice in her left hand and glanced meaningfully at Clary. “Durr, because the hospital’s right there, and bugs get rabies,” she said, pointing at a vacant place where a hospital very clearly was not.

Take followed closely behind Blair as they went up the stairs, just in case something happened to her, but mainly because he didn’t know where to step to avoid the traps.
“Chilllllll Kyleeee” he muttered, exaggerating his words up at him.

“Oh, Ellie!” Kyle said, covering the impressive distance of fifteen floor tiles. “I was worried about you. Are you all right? Do you know where Fred and Kipp might be?”
Kyle brushed his tiny nest of hair back onto his head.
~
“Ellie’s back,” Cam told Clary.

Clary glanced at Ellie. Something about the other girl seemed off, although it might’ve been her use of the word ‘soz’. Personally, that word and the person who said it had always rubbed her the wrong way.
“Yippee,” Clary said unenthusiasticly, much more interested in the dog that ran up the stairs, followed by Take and Blair. She raised an eyebrow when she saw Blair was being carried like a baby monkey, but she didn’t say anything.

Clary tried to unsuccessfully hide her laughter. “Yeah, that’s the best hospital.” She joked.
