“Y-Yes I’m alive” Fred said. He continued to stare at his Rose clippers.

"Come on, it's no worse than stepping on one."

Kipp grimaced, not expecting him to say that. "Oh, I thought you must have found them lying around here. Thanks for saving me. I was totally not gonna win."

As Kyle rolled onto the step, he decided to lie on his back and give up on his attempts to scale the twenty stair case. Kyle rolled to his knees gasping, before leaping back into a standing position. “Hullo up there?” He called, standing with his arms reaching as far up as he could. He could almost reach the top of the next step and therein lay his issue with stairs.
He looked up toward the flickering light of the room where he knew everyone...well mostly everyone, was waiting.
“C’Mon, someone here has to have some kind of advanced hearing!” Kyle called, louder this time. Through the tiny window of light he could see Cam and Haddie slumped against the wall and the blonde standing with that smug sarcastic look on her face.

Kipp started down the long trek back to where they had started, dragging Fred behind him. "I guess they must have found some way to open the stairs back up. It was a bad idea to try to find our own way. Sorry I dragged you all the way up here. I put you in danger. And everyone else too." Kipp didn't realize his grip was tightening on Fred's hand as he spoke, guilt weighing on him.

Take heard Kyle’s small call coming from the stairs. Raising an eyebrow, he peeked around the corner from where he was sitting.
“Wassup Kyle? Where’s your cat?” he asked, getting up and coming over. His shoe in hand as he limped slightly, gazing down at the small man who struggled to climb the stairs.
