"Sorry to hear that," Blair murmured. "Oh, the rocks? Pretty amazing, I have to say. Can't believe we're actually here. Of course, I have to be here when I don't have a camera or anything. Though it's kind of one of those places where you just have to enjoy it while you're here, otherwise you can't really see the beauty in it," she shook her head, dropping her gaze. "Sorry. I'm rambling. Oh, and don't worry about it. I'm not exactly a heights type of girl anyway."He looked up at Blair, a scowl still on his face. "No. It's nothing." You're being a jerk. His inner voice nagged. "Sorry." He grumbled hanging his head again. "Today's just, one of many bad days in a row. I'll be fine."
Kipp lifted his head and plastered a fake smile across his face. "How bout those rocks though right? This place is pretty cool."
Fake it till you make it. You are what you do. You want to be happy? Pretend you're happy and you will be.
"If I were a stonger flier I could take you up." He said, trying to find a way to be nicer. "I don't really get much practise in though."
Rylie and Kyle whizzed by Blair and Kipp at full tilt in a whirlwind of fur. Blair let out a sharp laugh as the cat and small man pelted across the field before slowly. "Looks like we're going to get left behind," she mused with a grin. "Can't let that happen. See you on the other side of the field, Kipp." With a glance at him, her grin broadening, her took off to catch up with Kyle and the rest of the group.Rylie was running, and Kyle's heart pounded against his back, his face brushing Rylie's fur. It wasn't flying, but it was the closest thing he could get. Riding on the back of his very best friend. Into a sunset even, the colors running together like paint. It had an almost magical liquid feel. It seemed as though he was running into the sky itself, even just above the grass. But the speed...so wonderful. So... temporary?
Rylie came to an abrupt stop. I can't run forever, he seemed to say. I am like a cheetah, not a wolf. So his energy was run off. Kyle set the pace to a comfortable amble. The others were catching up. The temperature had changed suddenly. It was more humid, less cold. And the sky had changed colors. It had taken on an orange-ish cast. Odd.
"I'm afraid I don't know as much about the stones as you'd like to know. As far as I can tell though, it seems like while Stonehenge is a receiver this other monument we have to get to is something else..." Kyle said, shrugging apologetically. He turned to Lavender. "It probably scared you a bit appearing here. I tried explaining we were going to Stonehenge, but you musta been distracted. Sorry 'bout that. Well, unfortunately, the clock is ticking. Maybe we'll make it to this bug-fighting place by nightfall if we start off now." Rylie turned northwest, scenting the wind. Smelling adventure. He was getting restless. "GO, Rylie!" Rylie didn't hesitate, streaking by Tate like a furry bullet. "Come on! Let's go!" said Kyle.
"Well, it looks like Kyle is getting impatient. Or maybe he just wants a headstart." Cam laughed. "Let's go!" She tugged on Ellie's arm, pulling her in the direction of the terrible twosome.
Lav sighed in disappointment, wishing she could get some answers. Looking up at Kyle she smiled gently and stood up on all fours, swishing her fluffy tail."I'm afraid I don't know as much about the stones as you'd like to know. Lavender looked up at Take and smiled. "A wonderful name. Im Lavender."Take watched as Kyle and Rylie took off. His question answered.
He slowly slipped his foot from under Lavender, “We should get going. By the way, my name’s Take” he murmured.
Once his foot was free, he took a step back and started to do side lunges, warming up his legs before he could follow Kyle.
