The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

He looked up at Blair, a scowl still on his face. "No. It's nothing." You're being a jerk. His inner voice nagged. "Sorry." He grumbled hanging his head again. "Today's just, one of many bad days in a row. I'll be fine."

Kipp lifted his head and plastered a fake smile across his face. "How bout those rocks though right? This place is pretty cool."

Fake it till you make it. You are what you do. You want to be happy? Pretend you're happy and you will be.

"If I were a stonger flier I could take you up." He said, trying to find a way to be nicer. "I don't really get much practise in though."
"Sorry to hear that," Blair murmured. "Oh, the rocks? Pretty amazing, I have to say. Can't believe we're actually here. Of course, I have to be here when I don't have a camera or anything. Though it's kind of one of those places where you just have to enjoy it while you're here, otherwise you can't really see the beauty in it," she shook her head, dropping her gaze. "Sorry. I'm rambling. Oh, and don't worry about it. I'm not exactly a heights type of girl anyway."
Rylie was running, and Kyle's heart pounded against his back, his face brushing Rylie's fur. It wasn't flying, but it was the closest thing he could get. Riding on the back of his very best friend. Into a sunset even, the colors running together like paint. It had an almost magical liquid feel. It seemed as though he was running into the sky itself, even just above the grass. But the speed...so wonderful. So... temporary?
Rylie came to an abrupt stop. I can't run forever, he seemed to say. I am like a cheetah, not a wolf. So his energy was run off. Kyle set the pace to a comfortable amble. The others were catching up. The temperature had changed suddenly. It was more humid, less cold. And the sky had changed colors. It had taken on an orange-ish cast. Odd.
Rylie and Kyle whizzed by Blair and Kipp at full tilt in a whirlwind of fur. Blair let out a sharp laugh as the cat and small man pelted across the field before slowly. "Looks like we're going to get left behind," she mused with a grin. "Can't let that happen. See you on the other side of the field, Kipp." With a glance at him, her grin broadening, her took off to catch up with Kyle and the rest of the group.
She ran fast. Quite faster then needed, but she loved it. Wind whipping past her face, the feeling of being free and almost light as a feather. A temporary escape.
She faltered in her strides as she caught up to Kyle, though she was anything but breathless. If one thing she liked about being a werewolf, it was the freedom to run for so far and so fast without tiring as quickly as a normal human.

Take positioned his body like a track runner, his front foot parallel to the ground and his arms extended forward. His shoulders over his hands as he looked intensity in front of him. He’s done this many times before when we was on his schools track team, but he never actually went full speed, just equal to that of a human.

He pushed forward, his sneakers stepping into the earth as he sprinted. His heart beating as fast he could run.

He zoomed in between the standing stones and through the field, until he caught up to Kyle and the others. He nearly went past them if he hadn’t slowed down at the last second. Shifting into a jog, he stayed behind them, relying that they’d lead the way.

The breeze feeling nice as it blew into his hot skin and through his hair.

Kipp smiled to himself. Maybe it wasnt so hard after all. Blair didnt seem to mind his weirdness.

With a grin and a twirl Blair was gone and a split second later Take bolted past him. He hesitated, not sure he wanted to follow. He slowly looked over his shoulder at the fox girl. @MysticChocobo
"My name's Kipp. You can usually find me with both feet in my mouth. What's your name?" He was determined to fix it, no matter what it took. He felt he should apologize but knew that if he did like so many times before it would just make it worse. So he didn't. (I'm headed to bed now.)

"I'm afraid I don't know as much about the stones as you'd like to know. As far as I can tell though, it seems like while Stonehenge is a receiver this other monument we have to get to is something else..." Kyle said, shrugging apologetically. He turned to Lavender. "It probably scared you a bit appearing here. I tried explaining we were going to Stonehenge, but you musta been distracted. Sorry 'bout that. Well, unfortunately, the clock is ticking. Maybe we'll make it to this bug-fighting place by nightfall if we start off now." Rylie turned northwest, scenting the wind. Smelling adventure. He was getting restless. "GO, Rylie!" Rylie didn't hesitate, streaking by Tate like a furry bullet. "Come on! Let's go!" said Kyle.

"Well, it looks like Kyle is getting impatient. Or maybe he just wants a headstart." Cam laughed. "Let's go!" She tugged on Ellie's arm, pulling her in the direction of the terrible twosome.

Brid looked up as Kyle and Rylie whizzed away past her, the others following. “I guess it’s time to go,” she said absentmindedly to Fox, straightening and beginning to move after the group, her eyes practically glowing with all the new sights and sounds. She stopped to wait for him and Colby, suddenly realizing that she didn’t see the Charlie guy anywhere.

Cam was cheered by the others’ enthusiasm for running. Sure, she wasn't the fastest around, she was in cross country, not track. But this time of day she felt energized as if by the air and sky, able to run forever, it seemed like. Into the sunset.

(Aaahhhh weekend was crazy... any chance I could still join? If so, could somebody give me a rundown of what's going on right now? I tried to read it, but I'm still at around page 30... Imma post a charrie sheet anyways tho)
Name: Hadassah, but call her Haddie, or you might find something unpleasant in your bed.
Gender: Female
Physical description and abilities: She's a shapeshifter, and she doesn't like being human very often. Lately she's been living as a magpie most of the time. Her family hated her for her abilities. She went to college at sixteen to escape them. She's now twenty seven. She graduated college and managed to pay off her debts fairly quickly(which definitely had nothing to do with her abilities... ;)), but has been thoroughly disillusioned with humans in general. In the rare instances she is human, she's 6', with grey-blue eyes and wild auburn hair to her shoulders. She can only talk if she's in a form that can, e.g. she's a parrot. She is almost indistinguishable from normal animals, except for the fact that whatever form she's in, her irises are still blue.
Reason the person was chosen (or happened upon a stone): Shiny? Shiny! (Swoop!) She never actually looked at the stone, so she wasn't teleported until she turned back into a human to collect and pawn the shinies from her nest, to stockpile more food for the winter.

Lav sighed in disappointment, wishing she could get some answers. Looking up at Kyle she smiled gently and stood up on all fours, swishing her fluffy tail.
"Yeah, it did scare me but Im slowly calming down."
Scare is an understatement, she thought, then shook away the mean thought, mentally slapping herself.
Not his fault, he knows just as much as you, which is literally nothing.
She looked down at the amulet and lifted it up to her muzzle with the back of her paw. She stared into the swirling heart of the gem and admired its beauty once again.
What kind of secrets do you hold inside? She questioned the gem gently.

Take watched as Kyle and Rylie took off. His question answered.
He slowly slipped his foot from under Lavender, “We should get going. By the way, my name’s Take” he murmured.

Once his foot was free, he took a step back and started to do side lunges, warming up his legs before he could follow Kyle.
Lavender looked up at Take and smiled. "A wonderful name. Im Lavender."
She nodded at him, took a few steps forward then looked back at Take.
"Thank you." She said sweetly, then she took off after Kyle. Her amulet bouncing against her chest to the beat of her heart once again.
