"I can't turn into something as big as a human on a few dahlia petals." Haddie shot back. "Yeah, no duh."“Plants who can grab you? Why don’t you just turn back into a human now that you’re back though? Rylie almost ate you!” Cam was incredulous. Still, if there were somehow plants out there who could move, imagine what she could do with her powers! Ellie’s words came back to her. I could sprout a forest!
Suddenly, alarm bells went off in her head. The budgie in her hand had a twisted, broken wing. Something must have attacked her! And Ellie... she was in the forest! “We have to help Ellie!” She exclaimed.
Charlie ran over and yelled "I'm a mouse specialist!" And promptly yeeted Haddie across the field.
"Thank you!" Haddie said. "Unless there's someone here with plant powers or something crazy like that, there's no way we can get in and out unhurt."“And the trees did this to you?” Cam said skeptically. “Could they be giant bugs or something?”
All she could say was she met a lot of trees in her day, and none of them violently attacked people.
“Can I just say this?” Kyle asked, spreading his arms. “NOBODY ELSE GO INTO THAT STUPID FOREST!”
"Little dude, what the heck is going on?" Haddie demanded, trying to look as intimidating as she could as a budgie perched on someone's hand. "That's four people who've been injured from whatever-or whoever- is in there."“No he isn’t kidding. Kipp stood at a distance from the rest of the group, watching and listening. At first he was skeptical that the rodent was trying to communicate, until it turned into a budgie, or some kind of fancy pet store bird, and then actually started making real words. Not that the words together made any sense. Trees don't just grab people.
Just then Take burst out of the trees panting and bloody, carrying the younger missing girl. There are a lot of girls here. Was his initial thought, before correcting himself to be more aware of what was going on and not just musing about oddities.
"Are you guys ok?" He asked, not that he could really do anything to help. He looked back at everyone else there, had Kyle by chance picked a healer to come along, or were they just meant to fight until they couldn't anymore and then just die or something.
"F-fine. No...we aren't kidding...trees tried to rip my hand off..." Blair huffed, utterly out of breath. She sank to her knees, studying her wounded wrist. Bruises were already forming across her skin, purple-blue.“No he isn’t kidding. The trees grabbed me too” Ellie said looking at Cam “I know I sure as ain’t going back into that forest”
"What's going on?" Blair looked at the little budgie, and just raised a single brow. "Oh, you know, just killer trees that wanted to rip us apart chased us through the woods, that's all.""I can't turn into something as big as a human on a few dahlia petals." Haddie shot back. "Yeah, no duh."

Haddie huffed impatiently. "Yeah, kinda figured that out when one of them tried to kill me and did this." She winced as she gestured to her twisted wing. "You're not the only ones hurt." She felt a twinge of remorse for snapping at the girl, but she shrugged it off. "I just am a wee bit curious why the heck we're being attacked by trees, and thought maybe it had something to do with the killer bugs. With all the insanity going on, it wouldn't surprise me.""F-fine. No...we aren't kidding...trees tried to rip my hand off..." Blair huffed, utterly out of breath. Take glared at Cam, he sat down and crossed his legs for a better resting position.“And the trees did this to you?” Cam said skeptically. “Could they be giant bugs or something?”

“Hey! I have plant powers!” Cam said. “I believe you! I just didn’t think plants were cape able of doing this,” she said, pointing at the budgie’s wing. Even with all of her power, she wasn’t able to move more than one of plant into what she would consider agression.Take glared at Cam, he sat down and crossed his legs for a better resting position.
“..You try going in there. See for yourself” he glared coldly, responding to her skeptic remark.
He put his hand on his bare chest, he could attempt to heal himself, but he didn’t have the significant energy to do so.
"Wait, for real?" Haddie said. "That's pretty cool." She looked at Kyle and rolled her eyes. "Thanks for telling now, genius."“Hey! I have plant powers!” Cam said. “I believe you! I just didn’t think plants were cape able of doing this,” she said, pointing at the budgie’s wing. “Someone with a lot of power must be hiding something. The forest might have something important in it.”
“It does!” Kyle explained. “We just need to avoid it for a bit longer.”
Thunder crackled ominously over the dark trees.
Brid hung back to wait for the two, glancing nervously at the darkening sky. “I’m gonna have to go back there some day. It’s really pretty.” She mused, looking at the ground as they walked. After a short period of silence, she blurted out, “I hope these bugs aren’t deadly. I’ve been considering this. What if one of us gets killed?” She gave a halfhearted smile and a laugh. “If these bugs are even real, that is.”
Colby halted mid-stride. "I didn't think about that," he admitted slowly, then resumed skipping, consequently dismissing the ghastly imagery that Brid's insinuation fed his brain's camera roll. "Honestly, though, I'm still more worried for the bugs themselves. Giant insects? I mean, come on, that's even bigger than an undiscovered species!" He stopped again to toss sheepish grin over his shoulder. "No pun intended.""True!" Fox picked up the pace too stay alongside him. "It's still really pretty. " A snarl of thunder rumbled across the sky, causing him to frown. As they approached Brid, he nodded at her words. "Y'know, you have a point. Like, plenty of bugs are poisonous..."
Take clicked his tongue, disregarding Cam’s words. He sighed wearily and hauled himself to his feet, wincing as he did. He took notice of the ominous dark clouds gathering overhead. The lightning jumped in the clouds and Take could hear it.“Hey! I have plant powers!” Cam said. “I believe you! I just didn’t think plants were cape able of doing this,” she said, pointing at the budgie’s wing. Even with all of her power, she wasn’t able to move more than one of plant into what she would consider agression.

“Excuse me but what do you mean ‘what the heck is going on?’ We just told you!” Ellie cried. “I think we should just steer clear of the forest and think about fighting the bugs” Ellie said slowly."I can't turn into something as big as a human on a few dahlia petals." Haddie shot back. "Yeah, no duh."
