I'm not going be around for quite a while today. My cat ate rat poison and I have to take him to the vet, and the only one open today is two hours away from me, so...

Thankfully I was able to find a vet closer to me that would take him, so I'm home sooner the I expected.
I think he'll be alright. I'm hoping he will.
See, with rat poison now, there is no antidote for it. They used to have a antidote for animals who ate rat poison, but then they changed the poison so it wouldn't hurt toddlers who ate it, but it's even more poisonous to animals such as cats now, and there is no antidote.
I found out that he may have eaten some the other day, and then some this morning, but I don't know exactly how much, and symptoms don't show up for about a week.
They gave him activated charcoal to help absorb it, so hopefully it helps him.
