I really liked the writing for Haddie’s little backstory there ;_;I figured she'd smell weird, so I based Haddie's response on that.
Haddie sat down int he corner of the room, keeping an eye on all of the openings of the room, trying to keep her eyes open. She would have slept longer if she hadn't been violently tossed across the room earlier. She watched as Blair left to find the two young girls. She looked at Cam and Clary. They had it under control, right? She sighed and slumped against the wall as sleep overcame her.
Haddie cringed against the wall, sobbing, gasping for breath, eyes and nose dripping.
"No, mom, please!" Crack. The sound of the cane hitting her outstretched arm echoed through the big house.
"We never should have taken a second look at that orphanage." the slim, put together woman at the other end of the cane, pristine and hard like everything about the household. "You've disappointed your father and I, and you're taking Maria down the same path." She crouched down, her face morphing to one of concern, her voice plaintive. "Hadassah, your father and I just want you to be the best that you can be, and with the choices you keep making," she shook her head, her face sad, her eyes cold, "that will never happen." She stood, gave Haddie a disappointed look, and started walking towards the stairs. She looked back over her shoulder at the shivering girl. "I don't want to hear any more about some stupid science school. You're going to law school, and you're going to find a respectable husband." she spat. "And if I hear anything else about you shifting into some filthy animal," she turned back towards the stairs, her heels clicking. "I hope you're prepared for the consequences."
Haddie panted, her lachrymose demeanor shifting as she nursed her arm. She stood, wiping her tears, and walked towards her room, shuddering, gasping, sobbing. She shut the door, taking care to be gentle. She grabbed her backpack, dumped it, and started repacking it. Laptop, wallet, textbooks. She slung it over her shoulder and peeked out, breathing steadied, resolve in her eyes. She crept across the hall, pushed open Maria's door. She left a note, telling her to find her at their secret place. She started down the stairs.
"Haddassah?" Haddie stopped breathing for a moment, then sprinted down the rest of the stairs and out the door. "Haddassah? Haddassah, come back here! Haddassaaahh!" Haddie ran as fast as she could.
Haddie moved restlessly, trying to go faster, to escape. A tear escaped from behind her closed eyelid, and she shook with sobs. She jerked awake, panting and sweaty. She looked around, disoriented, quickly wiping her face with her shirt. The lovebirds were back, and Ellie. Where were the kids? Uhh... Fred, and... the bird boy. She stood up, breathing deeply to center herself. The humans were occupied in pointing fingers, so she shifted into a golden retriever and trotted over to Kit, favoring her left paw. Do you k ow what's going on? She asked, then sniffed. Something smelled weird, other than Blair's massive BO. It smelled-chemical, like ozone or new plastic. You smell that?
URGH, this is getting frustrating. You're the second person whose told me that they can't PM me...I couldnt sleep...
@Cluckcluck1215 byc wont let me start a pm with you so i'll stick it here, it's just a passing idea use it if you'd like.
Seeing as how your character is the only werewolf i figured i should run it by you. It could be written in that book if you decide you like the idea.
I was thinking i need something to slow Kipp and Fred down maybe a puzzle or a password. The travelling stone being at a druid temple made me think maybe druids had something to do with where this place too. And it's weird that there's just some random rotting wolf in the basement.
But the druids were researching werewolves. Maybe the thing you fought was a werewolf that got stuck, when druids were attempting to cure them. Or something.
I really like that tbhURGH, this is getting frustrating. You're the second person whose told me that they can't PM me...
And also, I love this. The weird rotting wolf was just a random idea LB had.
I think it's entirely plausible that the druids were attempting to cure them, and that one would get trapped in the wolf's body. It's a cool idea, (very sad because that wolf was once a human, but very cool as well.) @LittleBrownie Since you had the idea for it, and the druids are also your idea, what do you think?
Oh, thank you so much!I really liked the writing for Haddie’s little backstory there ;_;

No, I have't actually! I'll check that now.Have you checked your settings? You might’ve accidentally turned the PM option off.
