Kyle approached the bottom and attempted something he had practiced for a long time, albeit into a basin of water. Jump and...
Kyle flipped over, sticking the landing, and feeling for all the world like an Olympic athlete. Now if only he had a crowd to applaud him.
Kyle sprinted then, his worn leather shoes finding little purchase on the polished black and white tiles.
Through this door... and up these... oh. Stairs. Upward. Climbing.
The one thing Kyle hated more than dogs, bees, and his grumpy sister-in-law was stairs. An arch-nemesis of his if you like. Well, maybe it tied with chairs, no actually, just throw in all man-made structures designed without him in mind. Actually, climbing in general tended to be a waste of his time and exertion.
The reason he always had Rylie at his side. Well. Here goes.
One... Kyle jumped to reach the first stair and kicked his leg over. Two... Kyle slid back down to the first stair.
Couldn’t they at least add carpet to ease the climb?

Kipp completely fixated on the spider that had turned on him was using his half stuck arms to try to grab it's smaller forelegs.

"BRING IT STUPID SPIDER! I'M GONNA EAT YOU FIRST!" He screamed, yanking on anything he could get his hand on to pull it closer to him. He hadn't noticed Fred, and fell on his head on the stairs as he was released from the web.

"Agh!" He grunted as he slid down a few stairs, catching his footing and bolting back up to fight. The spider though was scrunching it's legs up blue goop oozing from it's face. Fred stood next to it staring at him. "FRED!!?" He yelled grinning. "You're alive!" Wait, where's Blair? She didn't fight it. Kipp stood panting on the step, adrenaline still coursing through him and a cold snake twisting in his stomach. Is she that mad at me, that she'd just let me die?

"Let's get out of here." He whispered, backing down a step his face pale and eyes distant.
