The mystery predator/ breaking into a HenSpa

Raccoon grabbed that left side and pulled back and the plastic ripped along the line of least resistance. If someone had cut that it would not be pulled away along the frame work. JMO

look at how it ends though..perfectly straight..and right where the metal/building begins.. i still say human..

but . . . looky at the far right end, it's all stretchy not cut flush.

i think we need CSI to do material tests! i'll whip out my plastic netting tomorrow (i have some just like that) and see how easy it is to rip.

You would think an animal would have left some fur behind, stuck on the plastic threads.

Anyone notice the feathers at the base of the coop?.hmmm
If these were pet chickens they probably didn't put up much of a fight for a human.
I'm thinking Predator. She also stated that this lady wouldn't just have some random person walk up in her yard. The one carcass left behind doesn't make since.Dogs kill for fun but the coop would have been ripped up pretty bad.
A coon is pretty crafty.

hmmmm

I don't think it was human. They would have had to cut, climb in, and grab hens, then climb back out. That hole doesn't look like one that someone has been through. However, maybe someone cut the hole and put something else in the cage, for 'fun'. Probably not, though. Try tearing the other side. See if it tears like that. I think it will. And raccoons are super strong.

OK, have gone back and looked at pics again, and I can see that the area on the left does look more pulled and the part that came out is rather crumpled on one end. IF this plastic netting has been out in the sun for a good length of time, the UV might have broken it down enough for it to rip in a line. Still not 100% convinced that this was critter, but you have raised some doubt in my mind. It COULD be a four legged bestie. The timeing of it seems odd however.
