-The Mythics RP-

Nautulis followed the Captain, silently watching the chaos in the ratlines unfold with mild amusement as she listened vaguely to Vhanya and Tay's interaction.
Her steps faltered slightly as the bedraggled Harpy fell from the air, falling uncontrolled over the side of the ship, barely catching the edge as he did. Nautulis's feet had angled ever so slightly in his direction without a second thought, recentering on course immediately as the new Werewolf arrival rushed to assist.
"Quite the, ah, chaos you've already got sorted out here, yes?"
The siren turned a mischievous gaze on the Captain, smiling carefully.
Her eyes flicked sharply to the movement from the bowsprit of the ship, losing the easy-going glint as she locked her gaze on the Harpy.

"Captain."
Ember landed with a flourish on the quarterdeck, her legs bending slightly to absorb the contact, a single red feather swirled across the deck as she did, resting gently on the contrasting black boards.
"We found one recruit." She pointed a clawed finger at the canine. "Did Coal explain?"
The Harpy's sharp gaze slowly drifted across the three new arrivals, looking them up and down carefully.
Jintao studied the Harpy before glancing back at the werewolf. "That's it?" his disgust slipped out as he turned back to the hybrid. "And a dis-" he stopped himself from finishing and took a step back. Way to go, Jintao, insulting her like that. You haven't even joined this crew yet and you're already talking to it like you've got some authority position in place.
"Sorry," he turned to the side. "That was uncalled for." He looked back at furry creature and frowned. He saw it as a disease alright, and one that was worst than any ratting stowaway that he had encountered. Everything about joining this ship felt wrong to Jintao. He hoped that the Siren would find something to turn the offer down, though with all the Mythics around, he figured she wouldn't.
"Yes, it was," Ember replied coldly.
The Harpy dropped from the quarterdeck to the main deck before the Captain and her three tag-alongs.
"Is this rabble joining?"

Nautulis arched an eyebrow slightly at the Harpy's words but held her tongue. She could already tell by the Mythic's demeanor that she wasn't one to be provoked.

So many questions asked, tones laced with snide malice and brows quirked—beyond the voices, even the varying facial expressions were deafening.

Vhanya had captained other crews that were comparable in disorder to her current lot, but these souls were proving themselves to be increasingly petulant and susceptible to chaos. For order’s sweet sake, and to be able to actually discern what any one was saying, she turned steely eyes to the Siren and her company.
“To my cabin, all three of you.“

Shooing the trio away with a clawed hand, she looked to Ember, “a singular werewolf, eh? You’d best put her in one of the foredeck cabins for now so I can talk to her.”
She added under her breath, “the human girl is tolerable, the other two’ll only be joining if I can briefly manage as a pacifist..”

Vhanya raised her voice and shouted towards the starboard.
“Are you boys done tearing down my ratlines? I want you lot down in the powder magazine to inventory, is that clear?“

Her tail was twitching away a storm below her coat- not stinging the arrogant one-armed pirate had been a great challenge of her character. Maybe he’d be less inclined to deride my ship if it was the last thing he ever saw.

Jintao half rolled his eyes. He wanted say something against the Harpy, but knew it best not to. Saying anything more would only result in trouble that he didn't want. He ran his fingers over the warm dagger in his pocket. This is a bad idea... Such a bad idea. I was better off never to follow Nautalis here.
Jintao paused to make momentary eye contact with the Siren for the first time since boarding the ship. If I had the choice, that is. His fingers tightened on the weapon as he followed the others.
Death, he promised himself. This is going to end in my death. He gave one last glance to the Harpy before entering the cabin. And it'll probably be by her, now.

"Yes m'am!" said Coal. The powder magazine was one of the few rare parts of the ship he knew about. He knew it was hidden somewhere within the depths of the boat and that when you were hit with a broadside, you'd better hope and pray that none of those cannonballs hit it, because your ship wouldn't stay afloat much longer.
Coal began striding to the ladder that descended into the depths of the ship.

Tay ducked in behind him. "I thought this was a crew, not a circus." Her teeth formed a bland, rusty smile. "In a way, though, the normalized chaos is refreshing. We are apt to fit right in."

Ehh, just.. do whatever with the tags. I'm gonna start tagging whoever I know to be present in the scene so that banter can be better constructed.

Nautulis half wished she hadn't met the man's gaze.
Oh, how she hated the way Jintao made her heart lean toward guilt.
The siren followed him and Jordan toward the cabin, her expression unusually blank.

"Understood," Ember responded to the Captain's instructions, tracking the human man with a penetrating red stare as he disappeared into the cover of the quarters.
"But are you sure sending those three down to the powder magazine is a good idea?" She returned her focus to the Captain, folding her arms.
"I'd be half surprised if the ship didn't explode."

Gecko held on tightly to Lupin's paw. He flattened his feet against the ship and climbed over the railing. "Ee, thank you," he said, stumbling to the deck. He stood up and patted Lupin on the head like she was a dog. "Thank you so very much."
Gecko looked over his shoulder and stretched out his wings. They were sore from their recent tangle. He flapped them with a body lifting flap, which caused them to shoot full of pain. "Ah," he folded them in. "I think my wings injured themselves."

Lupin raced after Ember, leaving the strange harpy in the dust. She tapped Ember on the wing, trying not to give in to her instincts which were all screaming at her to stop. "Hey, um, where do I go?" she asked, sounding whinier than she meant. "I mean, I can help you if you, um, need help... or... you know..."

Mentally she slapped herself.

Raven, now on the deck, watched, waiting for the moment when all that would be left of this creature was smoke and ashes.
