Glad your well mumsy... I have a question about FF. my chickens loved it yesterday. Does it take 2 days when I add more feed to the mix? If so I seriously gotta get another bucket. Do I need to use all that's in the Bucket before adding more?

I add more when it gets low. I always keep some in the bucket or bowl to get the ferment chugging with the new. I just add more water with each addition of dry feed or grain.

Interesting! When you bid on a mixed assortment, do they not tell you what's in it after they pack it?

They will tell us if we inquire, which we will!

It's raining...Again. So I took the opportunity to get some quicky chick pix.

The shipped chicks are active and STILL hungry! I gave them a dish of scrambled eggs to slow them down for a picture. They are so strong and healthy. This is not my experience with shipped chicks at all. I always lose some to weakness, stress, and pasty bum. Not these guys. Ron Fogle must have excellent breeders. That's what I was counting on.


I placed a 2"x2" next to the heat. Some are perching.


Holy Carp! These chicks can really scarf down the groceries. Hah!

I took nine chicks out the bator this morning. They are lucious red and look like little Sumo wrestlers.


These chicks are twelve hours and less old. They purr! So calm and sweet. While they sleep, some of them are trilling. I love that.

This chick just hatched and fills my hand. So calm he fell asleep in my palm. I call this one 'Chunk'.

Ok, photo of the progress so far. That is is I can figure out uploading... stand by....

Click on the "insert image" pic above (looks like a small picture) then click upload files, chose your desktop & select the pictures.

If that doesnt work you could always upload them to a website like Photobucket & then copy the link from there and post using the Insert image icon again but then paste the link where it says "image URL"

Mumsy they are precious! That little one in your hand is so sweet. I need to take pictures of my Greenfire babies. They too traveled great. All running around and eating.
