What's everyone's "natural" approach to reducing flies?? They're not so bad in my chicken coop - just my ducks' area... they just recently started showing up but there's a lot of them!

Yes it's normal. I usually don't do anything about it, because it's never been that bad. They do have little scabs around that area though.ok, so other owners of Naked Necks... Do you have problems with them getting tears on their neck if the rooster is trying to catch them? I picked up my NN today and saw that she has a couple little tears around the bakc of her head... I'm just going to slather some nustock on it. I'm hoping the nasty taste will deter him. She's just approaching POL and the rooster is determined to mate her, and she's just as determined to get away from him.
Sticky fly tape. Make sure it's up high though. Don't want the chickens getting stuck to it.What's everyone's "natural" approach to reducing flies?? They're not so bad in my chicken coop - just my ducks' area... they just recently started showing up but there's a lot of them!
I have seen on many sites that a ziploc bag with water & a penny it will deter flies. I haven't tried it myself but its so simple I will try it if flies become a problem. All this rain everyday has kept the flies away.......What's everyone's "natural" approach to reducing flies?? Are these from BDM's eggs?
I saw a recipe to make "home made" fly paper on FED. I filed it away and thought I'd try it some day:
