I just wanted to thank everyone for their responses to my bumblefoot question a few days ago! I really appreciate the responses
It makes me feel better to hear from people who have the same thoughts of treatment as I do.

I can honestly say, we've never had a trick or treater make it UP our driveway. if they did, i'd be surprised... only time we buy candy is when hubby has a craving for Reece's LOLx2..we live on a busy highway..I am sure that is why no trick or treaters. I buy really good quality candy bars in hopes they don't come.![]()
I can imagine looking at this as "failure to thrive" and not realizing that it was a parasite that got the upper-hand from a bad case of mites or something similar.
No trick-or-treaters here either. Always have chocolate on hand just in case I have to share some.![]()

Sounds like a few of my last hens with snow.Hey all does anyone have a chicken with a fear of concrete. I have a Phoenix bantam trio and when I got them they were scared of concrete stable yard floors and slab pathways, the rooster and hen have got over this after a few weeks and are walking around fine but my favourite hen is still scared of it. Who. Say scared I mean she refuses to go onto it and if I put her down on it she freezes and if I try to push her forwards she tips up like I'm pushing her of a fence and fans out her tail until the point where she tips forwards and flys into the air, she even hovers if she can't see anywhere to land at first glance. Anyone know how to get her over this
Quote: I rarely get any either. The sidewalk is across the street from me. I had 1 TT show up and it was my friends son. He got the whole bag of grab sized potato chips. I don't share my chocolate wellI did get a giant reese peanut butter cup from my best friend tho![]()

She is a cutie
If you can figure out how to cover her head she will be quieter ...wrap up her head also maybe just expose the eye to work on it .
I've read that too. When I got her I knew that cochins were a broody breed but I just had to have one.... well she has NEVER gone broody in her 2+ years of life and this is her first molt. My frizzle of the same age is broody ALL THE TIME!!!From my reading, the gals who complete a molt fast make the best layers as they get back to the business of laying sooner.
I would post a picture of Nugget's "progress" or lack of but after I treated her this morning she ran and hide under her favorite shrubs... then when I put them back in the run she went into the coop to hideI still see nothing ... I keep looking and looking.... Hopefully this soaking is helping .... Only time will tell.... Poor little thing. She also roosted up in the rafters again ... I'm sure trying to escape the other hens and 2 girls just broke their broody spell and started roosting again so I bet that gave her cause for concern....![]()
In other news my Blue Copper Marans, Pippa, lost ALL of her tail feathers over night.... She didn't even look like she was molting.... The rest of her coat is glossy and shiny ..... I guess she saw how pathetic the rest of the girls look and thought she'd do it a different way ..... Oh but Nugget did attack Pippa today when she tried to move in on her mealworms ... I tell you that little one is a pistol!
