The Natural Chicken Keeping thread - OTs welcome!

re: MY frostbite, I was being silly. sort of... i'm still cold, but soaking my hands in room temp water helped a LOT (felt HOT at first LOL) cooking dinner helped too, tho I think the steam was warmer than it felt. LOL
Nothing like a hot bath after chores in the winter. Cup of hot chocolate.. Cuddle up on the coach with a book and a fire (or a snuggie) ;)

Lots of extra time to have relaxing time in the winter it seems. Days are so short, you do chores at 5pm and have the rest of the night to do whatever.

I like a good book as much as the next guy, but a book on Shemar Moore night????

LOL for the next month or so, extra time is spent doing overtime... working from home is handy because I can nap between shifts. LOL

going to my first show in a week and a half (Knoxville, ABA eastern nationals) and I need some serious extra $ to go, plus spending money for Christmas. 8)

We always do homemade gifts.

This year: Goats milk soap, knitted dish cloths, and a handmade ornaments. My family is quite well off, and I am not.. so they get homemade gifts and enjoy them!

The nephews (we have three) are getting in a box on Christmas Eve: PJ's, a Christmas movie and a couple snacks to watch the movie. Two of the boys are twins. One belongs to my brother, the twins to Susan's brother.

Getting Payton (the niece) a cute outfit or something since she is a baby and has everything she needs.

Payton the niece looked to be approaching the teething age. It is possible that you might be able to get her some small semi stuffed object with either a tail or long ears to suck on. My boy fell in love with a mini pillow animal a friend found on clearance for $1. He now carries it almost everywhere. Another option might be a soft rag style doll.

well, we really don't do gifts much. maybe 1 thing to/from each of us (me, hubby, mominlaw). the Christmas money, that's more for adding to the house/tool shed. LOL this year the tool shed is getting a sliding compound mitre saw. 8) course, then again, I need to build the tools a better shed too. LOL but that'll be closer to spring probably.
