  low flying geese or Ducks landing about 50 yards behind the coops in water REALLY freak everyone out! Pileated woodpecker. Forgetboutit! FREAKS them out to no end 

The Pileated Woodpeckers are so cool. They look prehistoric.

Let the kiddos out of the gate and within 10 min. a pair of hawks is staking them out. Came in the house for a few minutes and when I went back out everyone was in the kennel run in "look out for predator stance". Look up and sure enough.

I have been pondering this very thing for quite some time and am about ready to try out some of my thoughts.
