After I read that everything else I was going to post went out my head. I will have to reread the post and answer the questions later..

Aoxa..my silkie eggs look delayed..the bottom half of the egg is clear..they are moving and active in 8 eggs.

110? if it is accurate, raise that heater, it is too hot. try to get it at 80-85. They are stressing from heat..they need air circulation. Where do you have them?

I thought they had to be at 100-105 for the first week? They're in the garage.

Have you guys watched the Super Bowl commercials? There are at least 3 about farming.

The Budweiser one made me tear up.

I actually went to YouTube and have the Paul Harvey/ Dodge Ram/ So God made a Farmer on my website.

Loved it.

Loved the Clydesdale one with the exception that the way my mind thinks, it was not believable that the horse would escape it's handler and go through the streets of a city with no police, zookeeper, news crew chasing it......

That belief has GOT to be one of my biggest pet peeves in raising chicks!

I raise them by the 100's and although body heat probably has something to do with it, I have one, sometimes 2 heatlamps in a brooder trailer in the garage. It can be 20 degrees out there and under the lamps I sometimes have trouble getting the heat up to 80 degrees and they still scatter from the light.
