I just wonder if a certain someone is pulling a joke for entertainment purposes.

If you put those chickens in that house, it will not be a nice house for long. Chickens have so much dust it gets into every thing. You put grass in your house, on a second floor and you will have mold, bugs, and who knows what damage.
Quote: Hard work to get rid of it. I am not looking forward to the work in the next two months. Little chicks in a few weeks can coat a house in dust. I rarely brood in the house. I usually have them out by the 3rd day. I am now freaking out thinking about it. ugh!
What a beautiful place to liveOh... so we're going to start our own commune? Well if that's the case. I really don't want to move again, so I propose everyone move to southern VA where it doesn't get so stinkin' cold!!we have 30 acres and my parents are my neighbors with 7. More room here.....![]()

If we try really hard, I'm sure we could all fit on these here 300 acres. LOL! No - it's not mine... totally wish it were!!! We've been so amazingly lucky to be allowed to rent the white farmhouse on the property for a price that would make your eyes pop out of your head... because its in the middle of "Nowhere."
I am going to check the eggs later today..since I had a hatch out sometime in the wee hours this morning...I assume I can hatch out more. One is simply not enough. I will not accept one hrir. Even just three sucks. So I had better get at least two more today darn it. I sure can tell the difference in color between herotage and my strain, of course mine are also crossed with cornish so they are almost double size.
Milton, Etzel, Jeb, Leonard, Albert, Earl, Herbert, Alfred, Elmer, Herman, Leroy, Stanley, Lester, Edwin, Chester, Norman, Melvin, Virgil, Horace...If you have an awesome old person name, please do share. My silkies do get named. They are productive for a long time, and I'd never eat one.
Awww... sending warm thoughts! It is so cold out today, I want to just go back to sleep and pull the covers over my head. The thought of cleaning horse stalls is making me shiver! MB![]()

About 2 weeks ago my ipad did the same thing. Even now, every time I log in I have to scroll down to bottom of page and click on Desktop instead of MobileI should have specified, I am on the iPad.
The mobile version, even on the iPad, is a bit odd. Took me a bit to find the buttons to navigate away from the home page.
Hi guys, just dropping in so I can find you guys easily~Naomi
Good luck & hope you can get some sleep2 more are out..e I might get to sleep tonight after all.
2 are working hard at it..I have not helped any of them... I stay up..just in case i am needed. I am never needed. I should just get my hinny to bed.
One of the things i have noticed, with this extended time in the incubator the chicks belly/s are squished into the form of the egg. It is gross looking. I sure hope I can correct this incubator problem. I is sooooo much easier with a hen, you go out to the coop and see egg shells.
If this is a joke good one. If not I am going to leave it with one of the stupidest things I have ever heard.![]()
The extremely inconsiderate owner of the property I was going to buy has bailed on me so I'm back to the "house hunt" drawing board!![]()

I am not letting it bother me because I figure God has sometthing better for me.Today I found the most perfect house except for one tiny little thing....there's no yard!!!![]()

In this wonderful 100 year old house though are two really large upstairs rooms that get LOTS of light! Would it be considered cheating (no longer natural) to create a coop area in one of the rooms (complete with lots of real) grass in lots of trays all over the room? I really really want my chickens but this house is amazing! And quite a bargain, too. If I had lots of natural light and carpeted the room with grass, would they be happy?![]()
The town allows chickens but there is no yard. The room I'm thinking of is really huge. Actually a little bigger than the coop I planned to build them. That's why I thought to compensate for their being no yard for them to forage, in I would carpet the room with grass and hide mealworms and crickets so they wouldnt feel like they were in a factory. And there is a lot of natural light. Still no?.
