Am I going crazy, or is my Eloise a rooster? She was sure trying to crow out there this morning. Loud enough for the neighbours to hear as soon as I let her out. None of my hens have ever done this before and I *swear* she's currently my only egg layer. It was definitely a cockadoodledoo sound?!?!?!




I'm not crazy, that's a pullet right?

she is a pullet and pullets and hens do crow..not a full throttle crow..but they sure try to copy the crow

Thank you! i'm very exctied to get chickens cause i haven't had them be for! I really like cochins but i think i'm getting lohmann browns and hopefully rhode island reds!

If u remember, let me know when u start your chicks on FF if u have this problem. These guys are almost three weeks old and they look terrible. My adult hens, on the other hand are very shinny and fluffy.

Delisha, Thank-You, do you have a link to the contest? All I can find is old contests that are over and done in the search Any guesses on gender? They both act like pullets, but the comb on the Lemon has me second guessing.
