The Natural Chicken Keeping thread - OTs welcome!

As far as worming with pumpkin..it is the seeds from the pumpkin not the actual pumpkin.
Yes I gave them everything ... They just look at it like it is a weird trick treat I gave them :) I did see 1 girl eat 1 pumpkin seed... thats it!!! The rest are just going to waste. I guess I will have to scoop and grind the seeds of the next pumpkin!

Is this feather picking? Or are all my CW

slow to feather out? They're 5 weeks.

Wow Mumsy that gizzard color is strange! When my Amerucanas broke her keel bone which caused an impacted crop she pooped a bright green liquid just like that. I was told it was bile??? So I wonder if she had some bile / liver issue???? I really have no idea... it is a mystery. So that white little thing was the tumor?? Under her neck?? What kind of consistency was it?? Poor little thing :(

You could try roasting the whole thing first. My chickens prefer them mushy to fresh.... But here I just leave them outside to freeze for a couple days then move them indoors to thaw before I toss it in the coop and split it down the middle.

Del - I filed my own farm taxes this year. Getting a nice sizeable refund. Thank God. Need a fence for the goats, and this will cover it for sure!

I'm going to do everything on Simply Accounting this time around.
I am glad you are done and it will help...
