The Natural Chicken Keeping thread - OTs welcome!

Congrats!! I messed up the first one as well. The second one wasn't as quick as I'd like and every other one after that was awesome. You'll get the hang of it!
I guess I just thought you and LW were the only guys here. :)
Yes I use gimp on my Macbook Air. :) Simple download.

So cute!! I'm up to 11 now.
(Rodney Dangerfeild) I get no respect.
Don't forget pigeonguy! (Guessing from the name and his building skills.) and Stonykill used to be a great advisor, too. The men may be few but they're very much "us."

Blooming!!!! I don't think we'll see that until almost the end of May! It is beautiful out there :) Always wanted to live down that way.

Will you eat the roosters?

Looks like you got lots of gray in your hatches. Keeping all the pullets or selling? I keep thinking about a road trip.

Does anyone have black currants, red choke berry, gooseberry, rasp/blackberries, ground cherry, asparagus, ramps, rhubarb (that actually gets red and grows pretty tall), bridal wreath, honeyberry, or blueberries that they'd like to pass on????

I'd be willing to accept any of these!!!!!

Me too!

Hi everyone,

I'm sure I'll have a million questions before and after they get here. Thanks so much to everyone who contributes such great advice to the thread.
Good to meet you! It's exciting to get those chickens!

Hey everyone. Ive finally moved onto my farm and just thought I would post an update video. Its a little long as its a whole tour of our new house barn and the land. Im looking for definite ideas of a set up in our barn for some chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys :D. Also currently uploading an update on my silkies and the coop their in for now

Couldn't see your first video for some reason...Good to see you again! Wondered how you were doing!

She looks exactly like my Little Blackie. They could be twins!

Hi, Jiffy!!!! In case it wasn't clear, Jiffy was talking about my "little black". She has "Little Blackie" who she just got last week. Her little blackie is a BA.

Jiffy has had to "hit the ground running" by doing a ash dusting on all her kiddos. She got them last weekend and they had what appeared to be mites when they came. They were 15 weeks old when she picked them up.

You need to post some photos for us but I'll bet it's not the best time for photos with the NuStock on them!!!!

Just marking where I read to! So I can "go to your last post" and not have to start at page 1 lol. I love this thread.

Oh yest... the first day I only got one egg.... unless they got laid UNDER the coop... which they discovered yest and and wanted to stay instead of going back inside with the sleet, rain, cold, wind that started. I almost froze trying to get them back in so I could come in the house. Bossy definately has an attitude!!!
