I don't bring roosters to the sales. I know no one will take them if they aren't of a popular breed. I take silkie roosters, houdans go well, barred rocks.. but any mutts.. nope. You can't even give them away.thats great that guy took the rooster. checked out a little chicken/puppy/kitten/goat/rabbit/duckling swap today. Lots and lots of roosters and as far as I could see, no takers. Saw some beautiful ones, though. Since I can't identify the breeds, although they are most likely "rare" or "heritage" breeds, I'm thinking not alot of alternative to the soup pot. Still looking for a way to secure trash can lids that is coon proof!
I usually just eat them myself. I'd never give them away if that was to become his fate somewhere else.. but since he liked the look of him.. Whatever.

The kids next store actually jumped up and down in excitement. Emily proclaimed her love for us. Hahaha
Randy never attacked them, but they weren't allowed anywhere around our place without us close by (for protection). We didn't feel comfortable.
