Do you guys/gals recommend to vaccinate or not to when ordering chics from a hatchery. I don't know if my current flock is vaccinated or not as they have all come from several places but mostly they were hatchery or hatched here or from an Amish sale where I got a pair of silkies. That pair has now populated to 12 in just 1 season, lol. I'm planning to order for next spring. They offer mareks and coccidiosiss vacs.

personally, I would do both. In my mind, "natural " doesn't mean avoiding any "medical" treatment, it just means relying as much as possible on natural ingredients, methods, - at least in my mind.

I don't vaccinate.

But...I didn't vaccinate my kids either. And still wouldn't today if I was doing it all over again.

As always, just my way of doing things based, I hope, on the most sound reasoning and information I've been able to find to date.

Regarding vaccinating my kids (or even myself)..... Guess I should qualify that by saying that I would vaccinate if I thought the risk of contracting a debilitating disease or risk of death was greater than the potential contraindications (side effects) of having the vaccine.
