The Natural Chicken Keeping thread - OTs welcome!

My new chicks love FF

400

Took them a couple hours to figure it out. First I played with it poking it to attract them, then I sprinkled dry feed, finally one began to eat, now all seven are chowing down. So glad I switched over and started these new chicks on it.

X2.  What kind of incubator are you using there?

A Farm Innovators - 4200 pro series has a turner and fan. I Picked it up off a lady on the CO thread as she was getting out of chickens. I got that and a 2000 series still air one for $160 :D

The four house chicks are now outside chicks. I followed all the advice....they are in their own pen now that they can get out of and run back in if wanted. I gather them into their cage and put them into the coop at night. I think in 1 to 2 weeks they will be in the coop without the cage. The flock pays little attention to them...no issues. Thanks everyone.

No..I have never used an incubator. I'm always gathering information about everyone's incubators so that if I ever do purchase one I will be able to decide which to get.
