My run is completely covered with bird netting. Yesterday morning I found raccoon poop on top of my netting. I guess it was his way of telling me he was ticked my coop is like Fort Knox.

If it is truly plastic bird netting he was just warning you that he's there. Anything plastic isn't Fort Knox. A raccoon can shred chicken wire and cheap Chinese welded wire.

The NERVE, is when they break into your basement and eat 10 chicks in the brooder like they did at my house this year. In all, I've lost 22 chickens to coons this year.

I meant the actual chicken house. Sorry wasn't very clear on that.

The netting is just plastic. I suspect he was looking for a way into the house but he was foiled again.

I'm in the burbs and the neighbors would be a little upset if I started shooting during the night.
They moved here from the city to escape the nightly shooting.

The morning news is about all the overnight murders. This morning a city resident on the news said there are so many shots during the night she thinks she's back in Iraq.
