The Never Ending Hatching thread! For those of us that hatch all year long!

getting excited, only 4 more days till hatch; easter eggers and olive eggers. I expect the OE will look a lot like Welsummers as that's their mammas and the roo has similar coloring. Have no Idea what to expect from the rest tho, one is pure white, one is pure black and one is black & white with the same red roo.....

I just don't know where I"m going to put the chicks!

Had 1 Coturnix & an EE hatch today. Since they are the 2 smallest babies I currently have they went in a priority mail box on top of the duck brooder next to the heat lamp so they could have some heat without getting trampled by the big kids. Now just waiting on 3 more batches of quail in the next 3 days & 3 more EE from this batch. More eggs going into lockdown Sunday.

Ok ladies and gentlemen its just 9 weeks until Getting the Flock out of here - part three

Part one was a great success and Part 2 saw almost 300 eggs from the USA travel 7500 miles.

I need the following to complete the master plan:

Still on the list are

24 Barred Rock - heritage class
24 Giant Jersey - heritage class
24 Rhode Island Reds - heritage class
24 Sussex - heritage class
24 Creme Legbars
24 Ameracauna/Aracauna
24 Marans
24 White Crested Black Polish
12 bourbon red turkey
12 royal palm turkey
12 peafowl
24 french guinea fowl
120 Texas A&M coturnix
6-12 tolouse goose
12 Rouen Duck
6 emu (may have to wait till early 2014)
and anything interesting I find on the way

I can take partials if I can mix n match suppliers to get a minimum of 18 large fowl.

Due to the nature of the travel and time associated with it, I need eggs laid May 23-28 I fly out on May 30, arrive June 1 and eggs will be set on June 2.

Ask your chickens if they want to have children living in paradise? Maybe somewhere they can retire too lol here is the photo link to their new home https://www.backyardchickens.com/g/...k-out-of-here-a-diary-of-a-crazy-chicken-man/

Dunno bout the eggs, but you can take me along. I'm still waiting on that cabin you were going to build me next to the coop.

I've got button quail on lockdown, and when I get home from work today I'll have Cuckoo Marans and some very special BBS English Orpingtons going to lockdown. Cross all your crossables! I need them both!

Too bad my BCM aren't laying yet, not until June. I don't have pure Ameraucauna, but I do have some pretty easter eggers that are laying a light blue egg.
i will cross my chicken toes for you
thank you! What I really need is more hours in a day! I've got chicks in the house running out of room and over 100 eggs in the bator, tho a lot of those will be for sale.

HI! I am new to this thread... I just hatched out a chick that keeps flipping over onto it back.... I put it in a coffee cup, to keep it right side up... it only just hatched this morning, but has not been right side up at all until the coffee cup.... what is this, anything more I can do to help it.... will it die, or could it get better....
