Set a marshmallow on the porch and a few in the back of the trap.

Coons have a sweet tooth.

I bet that coon was trapped before and "kindly" relocated to your area, otherwise he would have gone right in.

try one of those leg ones.

As so have you gotten it or any sleep? Some how think it is not alone and that it would not go in to the trap makes me feel it has visted a trap before too. Never seems to be just one either.

I learned this when trapping feral cats.

Lock open the trap door for 2 or 3 nights and let the coon eat the bait.

On night four set the trap as normal and you have a good chance at catching that educated raccoon.

Beefy, do you have your setup for taking the pics posted anywhere? I'm assuming you are using a webcam to take pics with a motion sensor and a light?
