ATTENTION.............I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT..............

The coop is done.

I just have to add the screening to keep the chickens from getting up to the storage area, but that's no biggie. I moved my broody and her 9 week old babies in it tonight. So it officially has full time residents!!!!!

Now the run is another story. We are going to install the gate and latch tomorrow in the morning. It's been really cold all day and there's only so much frozen fingers you can take in one day! We're supposed to get more snow tonight, hopefully not much.

I took pics and I'll go to my mom's on Monday to upload them so you all can see it. (since my internet is STILL not working properly)

I am still doing work on it. I got it two what i liked and that didn't last long. Now i have to start redoing things. Plus i have been spending time on my other coop.

The pop door you see covered up there is for future expansion. I plan to build a small covered run for the babies, so they can have outdoor time with hawk protection.

Looking from the coop up at the fencing. That building is our garden/tool shed.

Roosts fixed, wide side up. (thanks for the suggestion Joe, every once in a while you have a good idea)

Nesting boxes courtesy of The Warden. Can you believe she was going to get rid of it? Already had an egg laid in it.

Storage area for feed on top (that trash can is just there temporarily) and broody/chick area underneath.

Broody and her babies checking things out. Gotta have pictures when it's clean.
