Right now if you try to file a claim, the PO says you didn't pay for the fragile handling, so they are not responsible!!! :he

That is not entirely true.  I had a box of eggs sent to me without special handling that was damaged and the shipper had their check in very short time.  No issues.

They are lucky. We will see if they honor my claim on the above eggs. I think some post masters are very helpful, and others will Interpret regulations in the strictest sense. Our last post master tried very hard to help people. The one we have now won't lift a finger to help.

A few days ago, TJ chickens posted the below photo of a box, that was clearly marked Fragile. He said no eggs were broken, but that box is seriously damaged. Was this the extra postage for Fragile? I'm not sure. They are supposed to keep it in a separate bin and not run it through the normal conveyor belts. But do they? I doubt it.

HOLY COW!! How did any eggs survive that? The Po has actually been pretty good to me. I have only had a few ppl say eggs have been damaged. I was just curious as to whether special handling actually means such. I know express shipping is, well, supposed to be express but I've had express take 4 days to get somewhere & it was live birds. Luckily they were fine.

Up for auction is 12 Blue Partridge Brahma hatching eggs. GFF & Chickenhill lines. Unrelated flock. Auction starts at $28 plus $20 shipping & will go until tomorrow (Tues) night at 7PM est. Pics are of some of my breeders. I have 2 more Blue Partridge hens in with this roo & 2 more Gold Partridge hens as well. :) I just haven't had time to take pics, plus i'm a horrible photographer. lol
