There's a thread somewhere with a great discussion for making your own feed and lots of advice from others who've done it for longer than I have...lots of conflicting opinions, but I have shared what I believe on many threads and I'm happy with the way my birds look and hatch!!
It has a lovely smell from all the spices and molasses- which doesn't add a bunch of sugar, despite what some folks think. It is very high in manganese, choline, vitamin B6, lots of minerals, iron...and more. I'd love it if I have honey to use, but I haven't, since I feed 600+ birds right now...
