The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

My thoughts are if someone does have a sale fall through, offer them for a shorter auction like an 8-12 hour auction on here. It would still be an auction and they would also be able to go out quickly and probably even the next day. Also, for those who cannot offer 9 eggs, you can do an auction on here for 6 eggs.

I haven't voted yet, because the option I'd like to vote for isn't available. Ive been watching the thread closely and have been sitting on my hands sometimes to refrain from bidding until I have my incubator empty. But here's what I would suggest in the B.I.N. issue...

Only eggs that were listed here if the winning bid falls through on theat batch. The seller could offer them in a pm to the runner up bidder first or offer them as a BIN for the first person who speaks up willing to match the winning bid. No new listings at the old winning bid price or bin's on eggs that hadn't been already listed. It's understandable time is of the essence with hatching eggs, but this is only a 24 hour auction, so in lots of cases, 24 more hours won't hurt much to list your extras as an auction. However, there are cases like this... "I'm on my way to the post office for my once a week trip to town, 40 miles away and the winning bidder backed out". In a case like that, time is of the essence. And I for one, would have loved another chance if I had been the runner up bidder or maybe missed my chance at bidding. Heck, I'd have gone out and bought another incubator if the favorelles had fallen through and I got a chance at them.

Just my 2 cents, but I think it's an option that hasn't been spoken of yet.
