no bids yet and 1 day to go... and I've found all their hidden nests, so am collecting lots of eggs daily now. In addition, my broken-leg (mending) EE girl has graduated from the hospital cage to the SFH pen until she's back 100%, so those might be some interesting chicks too. 8)Ok here goes... Auction will end Thursday Noon and eggs will ship out Friday (eastern time).
Bidding starts at $10, shipping will be $18
This is for 12+ Hen's Choice eggs!
I have 14 Dorking hens (silver grey, red and colored) and 2 EE's currently free ranging with 2 silver grey Dorking roos, 2 red Dorking roos, 1 BLRW roo & 1 EE roo (aka Weeble).
**quick note, some girls are hiding their nests, which is why I have this until Thursday, to make sure I have enough eggs to send.
The majority of chicks hatched from these eggs are either purebred Dorking - possibility of pure silver grey, pure red, colored-cross or golden cockerels (red heterozygous for silver). easily identified by having proper Dorking feet and single combs. Occasional blrw crosses do occur, but the vast majority of non-pure dorkings are EE's, which all have fuzzy faces, some may be crested or have lightly feathered legs. most also have 5 toes, but the extra toe and 4th toe are usually same length, attached along the length, or otherwise irregular.
These dorking EE crosses lay bright blue eggs and are nice meaty dual purpose birds, so even roos are useful.
(see my bst thread for some feedback regarding the dorking chicks and dorking/ee egg color)
Weeble, my EE roo
a group of the free ranging dorkings & others. (sold all but 1 buff orp, she's broody)
the current bunch of chicks from this cross in the brooder.

Want these so much, but hubby will kill me. Please put them up again next season!no bids yet and 1 day to go... and I've found all their hidden nests, so am collecting lots of eggs daily now. Quote: LOL pm me any time, I usually have them. if they're not penned for breeding they're free ranging. which means a lot of eggs go to waste since I never find them, but the birds are healthier over all, so I don't mind.
the only thing that changes are the breeds involved. LOL again depending on who's penned or not.
