The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

#3 Chocolate project silkie eggs; 10 eggs. ( The girls have slowed a bit, so won't promise more than 10.) This pen is again a split chocolate cock bird over chocolate hens. I did not breed the birds in the pen so I do not know what is in their lineage. I got them back from a business deal that fell through. I did hatch a chocolate/partridge looking chick the other day. This pen produces a variety unwanted characteristics, but also has thrown some very nice chicks too.

Does anyone know if there is a bid on this and how much it is?

Lol yes I tell myself that too...but it is still a major bummer....after the all the excitement of spring lol...Ice packs buried under the bottom cushioning material helps! For a while anyway... I might put some up soon...I have GORGEOUS french blue copper and blue marans that are laying their hearts out..lol awesome silkies, split silkied ameraucana eggs, lav/black Ams, EE's, and several other breeds coming soon...we have wheaten ams,BLRW,full silkied ams,and gorgeous little bantam Cochins those all are still to young to lay...so by next spring when everyone wants eggs we aught to be offing a lot!

Oh those silkied ameraucana's sound tempting.. what color eggs have they been laying and how much are you asking for a dozen?

edited to ad:.. the marans and BLRW are tempting too!

Sorry I disappeared a day or two...I do that sorry...sick...no excuse but...:/

Mine have previously all laid blue...not sure one this batch but since I got them from catkia I would guess some will be blue...I will let ya know... We have worked on our lavs until all but two lay a nice ,nice blue egg....two lay green but a soooo nice and I know one of them is a black it is Dolly's egg which I o,it unless it is requested....( she is the sweetest girl!)
My marans eggs are pretty dark for blues ....sometimes beating my bcms for color and those were pretty dark...when I sent Em to pappabrooder he emailed me commenting on the darkness of them. :D...I will see if I can send some pics of the eggs I got Em here somewhere....lol BLRW are still babies those are Jerry foley lines... Two birds are directly from Jerry himself. :)

Are you not having to sell most of your birds now & getting more?    You told me you had no Marans.  :/ Tried to send someone to you for SA's but they said it was so far away...

Cannot believe I missed these!! Grrr

Noooo I AM still selling MOST of the SA not the blacks to go with the lavs... And we have sold FLOCKS of birds however we decided that when we got rid of my blue ams and the bcms..and most of the fluffies. that we dont need for our project, that we would pick up some favorelles in the spring...or sooner MAYBE if we found some cheap....those are great quality and cheap and it is only the agreed breed of favorelles...I agreed to rehome three flocks to get a much smaller flock of those. Which we both like We have KEPT the blue maran flock and sold the splash maran flock and the bcm flock... We sold an entire flock of austrolorps, flock of jersey giants, blue ams, fbcms, a butt load of misc birds. Not in flocks. The extra SA I think we are down to about 150...?

Btw the ones " coming soon" are just young or not laying yet... Already in pens so we can see for planning what we are keeping...like BLRW we have 8 I think....just one of the ones we decided to keep. :D my hardest birds to get rid of have been th fluffies and I havent yet! Lol just the decision to sell them has been killin me.lol I'll be ok though...just want the ones I'm going to sell to have good homes....and to be able to take care of what we keep, ourselves, even when I'm going to be ill. That is e goal.
