The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

I have 1 auction and 1 BIN.
Auction starts at $10 with s&h $13 Auction ends sunday night (9/8) at 7pm CST Please pay promptly so I can get the eggs in the mail monday morning. Paypal only please.
For AUCTION I have 8 sizzle and silkie eggs. The silkie eggs are white and splash. I have 1 splash hen laying and the roo came from Bobbi Porto and recently got 2nd place in BB. The hens I bought local and don't know their background but the chicks all are SQ. I showed one of the chicks/pullet) that I kept and she got 1st in BV at the same show her daddy was in where he got 2nd in BB. She is not laying yet. I just took pics yesterday while they where all outside with some chicks the hens brooded. One hen got off the nest and the other hen finished them out. The splash hens feathers are a bit beat up from breeding. They are normally fluffier.

Above is the splash pullet.
The white hen is in the sizzle pen with a white roo. They both have a few black feathers but I don't think I can call them paints. So far none of the chicks I've hatched have any black spots on them. The pic of her is an old one and she was broody at the time.

I'm not sure exactly who out of the sizzles are laying. I know Ghost is broody and Pricilla is laying for sure. Pricilla was in the same recent show and she got 2nd in a division they added just for the sizzles. This was not an APA show nor did it have an APA certified judge. All the birds in this show where judged based on looks and not done like an APA judge would do it but she got 2nd place in BV. There where several Sizzles. Pricilla is the first white sizzle( and only white sizzle) pictured.

There are other possible hens laying but out of the sizzles you can get practically any combinations of colors because I have used many different roos. The roo in the sizzle pen is pictured above and he is a silkie with no frizzle gene. I've gotten more sizzles and frizzled silkies from this pen than any smooth ones. I've only had 3 smooth sizzles. I've also added a couple of pics I took yesterday of all of the chickens in the sizzle pen.One of the black hens is not laying which is Elvis. She was added back yesterday along with her chicks which are all frizzled except for 1 It's kinda hard to see them but maybe you can make it larger. OK here they all are.

Here are the youngsters I've gotten The first one is a frizzled silkie and I'm thinking it's cuckoo. The lighting was bad so the coloring looks like it has green or yellowish on it's back but it don't it's all like grey and black.

This white one is from PricillaI've gotten 50% frizzled from her so far

I wish I had taken a pic of the partridge one before I sold it. It was just beautiful. It's crest looked like a crown. Below is a pic of these same chicks I took yesterday when I put them in the sizzle pen.

This is nearly all the sizzle adults and some of the chicks I added

Ok enough curly fluffy cuteness, on to the BIN.

I have 50+ cortunix quail eggs. Price is $25.00 including shipping. This is a quick BIN. I would like to get them out no later than saturday so it ends on friday night. Just post TAKEN then PM me. The eggs will be shipped in egg flats 25 eggs per flat. They will be bundled and wrapped in bubble wrap. The flats not each egg. They will be secured in a large priority box with paper to keep them from moving in the box. Here are a few pics of the adults.

If there is a problem with misrepresenting the eggs being sold here and the seller did not make it right, I would post the issue here with pictures to document.
I thought if we have a problem that we are unable to resolve with the seller.that we are to contact BYC administrators to assist...........Pretty sure I read that somewhere.

As I'm seeing new members joining in on the fun, I wanted to share that I started incubating after a lot of investigation. ANd it lead me to this write up. The benefits of dry incubation. Worth reading by everyone.

I have read this story and it is a nice one. I am trying to use this as a guide for hatching your turkey eggs Arielle!

YOu can also read about incubating turkey oults on Porter turkeys dot com and at the bottom of the list on the left is an incubating page. ALso see Yinepus incubating sheet.

Good luck.

I have read Porters info on hatching the day I got your eggs I read it again. And Yinepus said on this thread had the same instructions as Porters site did. I also read Ghram's info online on hatching and raising poults. And Sally Sunshines incubation and hatching 101. I am trying. I got a new bator so hoping things go alot better!

yup.. Porters hatch theirs the same way my grandparents did (lol.. and their parents).... ..

though I must admit.. I hatched these last ones completely dry (even at hatch).. I figured with the storms we had been having (extremely high relative humidity for us) there was no point in raising the humidity at hatch unless there was a problem.. and they hatched out just fine... no issues at all..
