The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

This is a bargain! If I were not already borrowing 3 incubators, I would so buy one of these sets. Really, I am trying not to covet ALL your birds

Folks, Juststruttin packs her eggs so well they could traverse the continent twice over and still be intact!

I've received lots of shipped eggs and her's are a delight to receive because of the care she takes in packing.

Mille fleur Leghorn I have 6 now and whatever is laid tomorrow. Usually 2 or 3. Bids start at $20 shipping included! I also have a brown leghorn hen in this breeding pen. She is getting a little long in the tooth, so she only lays ever 2 or 3 days but I can include what she lays or not. Up to you. Her egg is obvious because it is so much larger. (Hence the reason she is in the breeding pen. Trying to improve egg size and color.)
I normally sell these for $5 ea. So here's your chance to get a great deal. My incubators are full up.
Bidding will end 8PM Central Time. Fri March 28. Shipping on Sat. March 29

Only 3 hours left on this one.
Only one egg today. They showed out the last two. Total 7 eggs. I have one Brown leghorn and one MFL laid on the 25 I will include if you want them. For a total of 9.
Current bid is $25 including shipping! These would sell locally for $5 each.
I have very near 100% fertility here. (Of course I cant guarantee hatch rate on shipped eggs) I had 100% hatch once on eggs shipped to CT.

All my air cells looked good! All the way across the country. These were my first shipped eggs, and I'm so pleased that it is going so well this far.

I just picked up my eggs from her. The packing job was fabulous! I candled them as I unpacked expecting several broken air cells. Only one was a bit funky, the rest were absolutely perfect.

Aww thanks for the Kudos guys!

Auction #1 6+ Bantam Amercana Eggs
Silked Lavender Roo and Black Roo over 2 Black split to Chocolate Hens
just a couple comments...

if it's not a recognized variety, you can say ameraucana project... Lavender and Chocolate are not recognized varieties for Ameraucanas, though black is (if they're bred to the APA standards...

Also, Chocolate is a sex linked mutation. as such, a hen is either chocolate or not, she can NOT be split chocolate (only males can)... so if the hens are black, with a black and a silkied lavender, the only options that will hatch are blacks and black split silky and lavender... which you won't be able to tell one from another.

Do you have pics of your Silkied Lavender roo?

If you have a Silk Lavender roo you are best putting him alone over your black girls and this way all babies hatched will be split for Silkie feathering and split for Lavender.

And Ki4got is right- you can not have a hen split for chocolate, only the roos can be split. Chocolate is a sex linked recessive that works like Lavender but the girls only need 1 copy to show it- boys need 2 copies to show.

There is also Dun which is a chocolate color but it is a dominant gene and does not breed true- works like Blue Black Splash creating Khaki etc.

The last 2 pictures of on the ad are of the lavender roo. I couldn't get a full picture. So I have a picture of his body and a picture of his head.

Sorry but he is not Silkie Feathered or Lavender

Hard to tell from the pic but he looks more like a Splash fella

On second look he looks like a handsome Easter Egger
