AUCTION 10+ Basque eggs (Euskal Oiloa, Marraduna Basque) ends Tuesday, 04/01/13 at 9pm CST for shipping on Wednesday, 04/02/13 LA NPIP Bidding starts at $20. I will provide the total based on your zip code and provide my Paypal email. Paypal only - no e-checks please. Payment must be received by 7am CST on Wednesday, 04/02/13, in order for the eggs to ship on Wednesday. If the payment is received later, the same eggs will ship Thursday, 04/03/14. My stock was acquired directly from Skyline Poultry. The birds in the US are a work in progress and some color variation exists (occasional mille fleur, solid white or columbian patterned birds pop up). I am working toward the Spanish standard, but I do have one hen in my breeding pen that is cream with a columbian pattern. Her large size and confirmation are helping build the barn. :) This is one of my favorite breeds! They are consistent egg layers and make a good dual purpose bird. They are my best foragers and are the last birds to go to roost. The hens are very friendly and seek us out for visits.

Goodness, Dak, I've been drooling over your birds. I haven't bid for 2 reasons - my incubator is full and my husband would divorce me if I added a new breed. Out of curiosity - how is egg production on your line? I had Lav Ams a couple of years ago and they had very poor production. Maybe I could justify some of yours later if they lay better! :)

I have 4 pullets that I hatched from her eggs last fall. I am averaging 3 eggs/day I think. Both the birds and the egg color are gorgeous!
