I have 6 LF Blue/Buff Cochin hatching eggs. Fertility has been great. My last eggs even got in a car wreck & 6/7 embryos are developing.

Bidding starts at $20. Shipping is $15. Auction ends Sunday @ 8pm.

I have a dozen of @anac1979 's eggs in my incubator right now. I can say she packs her eggs like a pro for sure. I'm only on day 2 so I can't say on fertility just yet, but so far so good! I can't wait for them to hatch!

First, the gory details: I will combine shipping if anyone wins 2 or maybe all 3 of the auctions. All auctions end tomorrow night (Monday, February 29) at 10:00 pm EST. Bids up to 10:00:59 Monday, February 29, will be accepted; those placed at 10:01:00 or after will not. Payment is due via PayPal by 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 1, for shipping that day. Shipping is $15 for 1 auction, $20 for 2. Depending on how the girls lay, I may not be able to fit all three into 1 shipment without jeopardizing the safety of the eggs, so I will say shipping for all 3 will be $30 (2 shipments). Shipping is by USPS Priority 2 or 3 day depending on where you live. Express shipping is available at an additional cost. The USPS's "Special Handling" service is available at an additional charge of $10.35. Each egg is wrapped in bubble wrap, burrito style and snuggled in shredded paper and then double boxed. I box the eggs the best I can to ensure that they reach you in hatchable condition, but sometimes, in spite of all my hard work, the post office manages to scramble the eggs so that none of them hatch. I have no control over that and can not guarantee that any of these eggs will hatch, so please bid accordingly. Local pick-up in Northern KY can be arranged. Please read all auctions thoroughly so you know what you are bidding on. I'll try to get some pictures added to this post, but the way things are going this weekend, if I wait to post until I can get the pictures in, it won't get posted until after the HAL.

Auction #1

8+ Svarthöna Eggs - I currently have 4 eggs from my "A" group that has been running 100% fertility and 4 eggs from my "C" group where fertility has just been confirmed in at least one of the hens, but I don't know if all 3 are yet. I will add what they lay tomorrow and Tues. up until I have to box to get them to the PO on time. The eggs will be marked with date laid (2/26 and after) and with which group they came from. My group "A" consists of 2 ECF hens and 1 GFF hen covered by a GFFxECF cockerel. My "C" group consists of 3 GFFxECF hens covered by a GFFxGFF cockerel. The original cocks of the GFFxECF hens and the GFFxGFF cockerel were different GFF cocks, if that makes sense. My breeder Svarthöna all have all black toes and toenails and minimal mulberry showing in the combs and wattles and have dark earlobes. They may carry the woolly gene, but I haven't hatched enough from these particular groupings to know for sure yet. They have gray/pink mouths and tongues. Starting bid $10.

Auction #2

7+ Isbar eggs - I currently have 3 eggs from my 1st import group and 4 eggs from my mixed import lines group. They will be marked by date laid (2/26 or after) and which group ("A" is 1st import, "B" is mixed imports). Fertility has been excellent in both groups. I will add what the 1st import group lays tomorrow and Tues. up until I have to box to get them to the PO on time. I will also add about 1/2 - 3/4 of what the mixed group lays - the greener eggs in the group. Starting bid $10.

Auction #3

3+ Isbar and project eggs - I currently have 3 eggs from my mixed imports group. These are from my black 2nd import hen who lays a brownish-green egg in with my mixed import Isbar cockerel - these are pure Isbar, but the current egg color is not the best representation. She is a very good layer, though. The egg color should improve in the offspring, but I can not guarantee it. I will add what she lays tomorrow and Tues. up until I have to box to get them to the PO on time. I will also add 2 eggs from my Black Ameraucanas that were in with my mixed import lines Isbar cockerel. They lay a very blue egg. They went to a new home today, so there will be no more of those. I had 2 BA hens and I know at least one was fertile, but I don't know which one(s) laid these eggs. They are just for fun. I will also add a couple eggs from my chocolate green-egger project pen (mixed breeds). It is a splash/chocolate split cock over blue, chocolate and mauve hens. The eggs will be green, olive or gray-green and there is a good chance that the offspring will lay green eggs, but no guarantees. All eggs will be marked with date laid (2/26 and after) and with which group they came from. Starting bid $10

As as added bonus, I can add a few eggs from my layer group to any auction upon request. THESE HAVE NOT BEEN FERTILITY TESTED! I have an OE cock over an EE hen that lays a very pretty, green egg (supposed to be Blue Wheaten) and a poor representation of a Rhodebar, but she is sweet and a very good layer. I have only hatched one egg from the OE/EE cross and it was a gorgeous cockerel with many different colors and patterns in its plumage, but it broke its leg and had to be culled before I took any pictures. No telling what you might get though.
