We're going to be getting a Cochin roo (my DH has wanted one for awhile) and I'm asking for advice and tips how to get him acclimated to "the gals"

I have used a small chicken tractor or pen and placed it in the run so the new roo can get used to all the ladies and the other roos can see him too. If it is a new addition you need to quarantine him for 2-3 weeks before introducing them in case he gets sick or introduces something to your flock. After about 3 or 4 days I let him out and the "pecking order " fight usually starts. It works out better than just sticking the poor thing in there right off ! Good luck !

I remembered that our neighbor has the Chick-N-Hutch that he bought from us to use as a brooder. I may have to borrow that from him. Thanks for jogging my memory!
