Mine on the Cream Legbars

Offer:

6+ Large Fowl hatching eggs from the following breeds (all pure in separate pens): BBS Orpingtons percentage English, BBS Orpingtons Full English, Cream Legbars, Black Orpingtons high % English,Lavender % English, Blue/Black Laced Barnevelders, Rhodebars, and maybe Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons (bunch of broodies in this pen). No choice but whatever is laid at the time of shipping.

I likely can do a full 6+ of Cream Legbars, 6+ of just Orpingtons if someone wants just these.

OR

(3) packs of neon colored elastic leg bands 100 per bag - you choose size from 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 5/16", or 3/16". I really like these for young poultry as they stretch nicely and are really easy to get on and take off. I tried zip ties and plastic spiral bands a few times when I have not been watchful enough I have had them get so tight it's hard to get them off without hurting the chick.
Just popping this back up on top. Anyone out there????

Each bag (100 ) is the same size and you let me know what size you need. Example you want two bags of 1/4" and one bag of 3/16" so you would have 200 1/4" size and 100 3/16" size of assorted colors.

What size do you use for new born babies? How long can those stay on before changing?
If you use the 3/16" newly hatched chicks, you would need to change in one to two weeks. You can pull them off, give them a little rinse and use them again. I have used the 1/4" on newly hatched and they can stay on for about four weeks depending on breed, however the 1/4" will slip off of some of the newly hatched chicks.

This is what I put together comparing to the plastic spiral leg bands.

1/8” No 4 – baby chicks, quail ( I find these very tiny so
suggest for day old very small chicks, quail, or
guinea keet .

3/16" No 6 – large pigeons, homers, month old chicks,
pheasant chicks (I suggest this size for standard breed
day old chicks, duckling, turkey poults, etc.)

¼” No 8 – call ducks, & similar sized birds.
(I suggest this size for week to four-week-old
standard chicks, adult quail, or similar sized birds

5/16” No 10 – Universal size for most chickens, pheasants
(I suggest these for adult bantams, smaller breed
chickens) I tried these on my adult Cream Legbars
and they fit okay on the hens and a little tight on the
roosters.

3/8” No 11 – Standard sized chickens such as Plymouth
Rock (I suggest these for most standard size chickens)
I tried these on my Cream Legbars and my English
Orpingtons. They fit fine on the Cream Legbar
roosters and the English Orpington hens but was tight
on the English Orpington rooster to where I do not suggest usage.

They actually make these in sizes 2 & 3 as well. 2's are perfect for newly hatched quail, 3's for bantam chicks & 4's for LF chicks. 4's could also be used on call ducks & maybe runner ducks or mallards. I have also seen them in 5 & 6's which are perfect for the bigger breed ducks & turkey poults. 6's would also work for very young goslings.
Note: These sizes would be at hatch & how soon they need changed out would depend on breed & rate of growth.
