ok.. here's how it works

Person number 1 offers up some eggs for swapping

Person number 2 claims those eggs and offers up some of their bird's eggs for the next person to claim..
Once someone claims Person number 2's eggs they offer up some of their own for swapping and so on

There are several swapping threads on the board.. some are for waterfowl eggs.. some are for crafting supplies.. some are even for quilting squares

I wondered that myself, but I think it depends on which swap you're in. It looks like some of them have more rules than others.
