I'm not sure I understand how this works... someone makes an offer of 6 whatever eggs, and do you give them something in return or do you just say you want those eggs and have these eggs you can get rid of?

it works as a chain. If you claim the eggs currently offered then you offer up eggs you have and someone else claims them. You pay the shipping on the eggs you send out in your offer and the person that you claimed eggs from pays the shipping on the eggs they are sending you.

plus a few birchen maran/spitzhauben eggs(these chickens are from greenfire farms) I did a ton of swaps last year but haven't been real active after my fox problem but this is my offer.
