Hi! AHAM, or A Howl at Midnight, isn't new, but Flufferes and I made spoofy characters (pink and purple dogs ) for it's parody RP and now she's deciding what the character will look like for the real role-play. AHAM is basically about four packs of wild dogs, wolves and coyotes. There's a huge war going on and thanks to overabundance of characters, the creator (@HeavensHens88) has recently closed it for new members.

Sure, I can give you some tips. You can also talk to @Cluckcluck1215, @HoodedHuntress, or vachick15, they have been RPing for the longest.(over a year) They have seen it all!
And for writing tips.. HeavensHens88 is your gal. She can't write paragraphs on ANYTHING. Her writings and descriptions look professional, and are a blast to read!

..are not so glamourus
But of course, everyone I haven't mentioned are still awesome, and have their strengths.

Chicken RP:
Wing Flock and Claw Flock have lived on the Island of Wings and Claws for longer than any chicken can remember. For a long time, the leaders of the flocks were chosen by battle to see which chicken was the strongest. The strongest chicken then became Flock Leader. The Flock Leader was advised by the War Chief, Top Forager, Elder Herbalist, and the Top Broody. Even so, the Flock Leader was the leader of the flock and had the final say. Sometimes the Flock Leader commanded all the chickens in the flock to war with the other flock. Sometimes the Flock Leader would lead the flock so horribly that the flock would fall into disarray. One day, two brave chickens called Thorn Spurs and Sunfeather became Flock Leaders and changed the flocks forever. Instead of having the strongest chicken be the Flock Leader, they made a system of voting so that all the chickens in their flock could chose who would be the next Flock Leader. For the next eight years, the flocks lived together in peace. Then Sunfeather died. Everyone thinks its the work of a Giant-Fur, but some blame it on Wing Flock. Sunfeather’s son, Goldenfeather, was chosen as the next Flock Leader. Little did the flocks know that Goldenfeather had plans of his own… plans to rule over the Island of Wings and Claws.

Tribe Cat role play:
A yellow tabby she-cat stumbled over sand dunes. Why her tribe deserted her. A gale blew into her face, causing little Sandy shrapnel to blow in her eyes. Her 3rd eyelid was already up, but now she traveled blind, using her whiskers. A sandy crust had formed at the corner of each eye. She raised her voice above the wind, but all that came out was a croaking "help," as though she were in a dream. She desperately needed water. If only it were a dream, she thought. She couldn't go on. The sun beat down on her golden fur. She lay down for what she thought was the last sleep of her life.
But when she awoke, she was greeted by concerned eyes. A wild cat, with big green eyes and brown grizzled fur. He licked her forehead with a sandpaper tongue. He said his name was Claw. "What is your name?" He asked.

A Superhuman RP:

So there's different types of humans. Always have been, but they have been hidden and used by forces above the world's governments. These humans were used as special forces units during WWII and a few were seen. This was the beginning of comic books.

So the comic books were used to introduce to the public that these were good. Until slowly, carefully, they were released. The crowds went wild. There were humans with wings, horns, pyrokenisis, you name it, they were real. Businesses boomed with the creation of new niche markets for their special needs and wants. Normals were ecstatic. For a while.

The year is 2076, and the newness has worn off. They're just average joes now.

Until one day, this Wing-man discovers the ancient comics. With his potential realized, he goes about looking for heroic deeds to do. And he's not alone. Others want to fulfill their forgotten promise as well. So they rise up. But not in the way you would expect.

They feed the homeless, entertain those in nursing homes, ensure that make-a-wish kids get what they asked for.

But no good deed goes unpunished.

One of them rescues a child from a gang. And now every one of the Wing-man's team has a price on their head.

Heavens is amazing, (even though she sometimes denies it. ) and just like Flufferes said. I personally think she's the best out of all of us.

First, I don't think We Could Be Heroes is the best for someone new to role-playing. Once it starts, it shoots off like a rocket and really never slows down until our set ending time. Even the experienced RPers get left behind sometimes. But the other two, I think, would be perfect to start with.

Thanks for all your advice! When joining an existing rp, do you need to go back and read everything or just jump right in? Also, is it better to give short responses or longer paragraphs? Also, are there certain members that move the plot forward, or is it basically a sprawling saga written by everyone? Thanks for the help! I'm looking forward to joining you guys!

Answer to question 1:
It's best to read/skim through a couple pages, if you want to know exactly what has been going on. Usually if the players have been active for a while (25+ pages) or they are getting to a climax, they won't really give time to explain and might just give you a little idea of what is happening, rather than a full explanation. Some RP creaters will have you read everything, some won't.
#2: It doesn't really matter. When i first join a RP, I'll start off with short responses. Once I know a role play is stable and interesting, I start putting more thought in to responses. That is, when I'm not being lazy..
#3:
It depends on the story, role/rank, and your character's history. I'm not really sure how to answer this question exactly.
