My sister had one under her deck in town last summer. She said she was smelling something musty and then she heard it growl....made the hair stand up on the back of her neck.

Haven't seen one down at the course (of course, that's not to say they aren't there)...we've had 2 sightings in the backyard. Apparently, they're drawn to the ground squirrel's that are there. These little guys (Wiki photo):

Want me to try to trap and send one to you sour? I could probably throw in a couple of the ground squirrels too.

she has lots of squirrels and chipmunks. They like gophers too...we have lots of them.

How did she get it to leave?

Years ago we had a mother possum try to raise her newborns in our basement/garage...we trapped mom in a rabbit trap and DH stayed up all night catching the young possums as they tried to get to mom - and the relocated them all the next am to a woodsy area nearby. We discovered the problem when one of the teenie ones got in our house and was eating cat food

And then of course, there's grilling with squirrels...



Oh boy, trust me...it can be weird seeing what comes back when you put "squirrel burgers" into Bing
 
Putting squirrels anythings into legendary crooners dont sound right!
